CHAPTER 15

Laura's POV

First period went quickly I talked to Aaliyah about going over to her house to get ready and she seemed fine also I needed a way to see if Shawn was okay. He got so mad earlier just over a stupid understanding.

"How excited are you for tonight" Aaliyah said while rubbing out the last word she wrote down on her page
"Super excited we haven't been out in ages" I said continuing to write on my paper

"I know but tonight's the night where we are gonna find you a man" she said slightly giggling to herself

"I don't need a man Aaliyah" I said rolling my eyes "but I don't mind finding you a man"

"Umm no thanks I like being a strong independent women in this country" she said stopping what she was writing and looking up at me
"Of course you are Aaliyah" I said just as the bell rang. We picked up our books and walked out of the classroom I wanted to ask her so bad about Shawn but I didn't want to seem to weird asking about her brother. As the day continued and we had our other classes I just wanted to message Shawn and talk to him.

Me: "Shawn I'm sorry"

Me: "You can't ignore me forever"

Argh why was he acting like this...

Before I knew it the day was over I walked to my locker and collected my books then I started walking home while looking at my phone I couldn't help but worry was Shawn really mad at me I reached home and packed the clothes I was wearing tonight and other things. I made sure my phone was charged and I couldn't help but message Shawn again he really has me worried
"Hey please talk to me are you okay just give me a sign your okay?"

"I'm Fine"

Fine is he serious with that I grabbed my bag and I walked down stairs locking my door and begun walking to Aaliyah's.

I messaged Aaliyah letting her know I was on my way just so I wouldn't have to do that awkward walk in even though she's my best friend and all.

Me: "hey so I just left I'll be there soon"

Aaliyah:"just come right in I'm about to hop in the shower"

With that I locked my phone and continued walking when I looked up I saw a familiar car drive past when I looked through the window it was Shawns he looked directly into my eyes and stared at me for what felt like forever before turning back to face the road he continued driving until his car was no longer seen. Now I was even more worried that he hated me usually he would give me a lift but now he just acted as he didn't know me.

A few moments later I arrived at there house I didn't want to walk inside anymore but if I didn't then I would know that Aaliyah would instantly get suspicious and ask questions and I'm not the person who can hide from people forever, so I walked in and everything was silent all I could hear was the shower running. I walked upstairs to go into Aaliyah's room but when I went to turn the handle Shawn's door slowly opened
"Shawn he...y"
and when he saw me he slammed it closed before I could say anything else. I guess seeing him tonight wasn't an option.

As I waited for Aaliyah to get out of the shower I begun getting dressed I wore a lace red one piece with black high wasted jeans and black boot heals with a belt which my mum calls a Santa belt just as I finished putting my shoes on Aaliyah walked in the room all ready to leave.

"Now I realised what took you so long" I said looking down at what she was wearing she looked great better than me even!

"Are you not ready your makeups not done and the party has already started here let me help you do you make up" Aaliyah said walking towards me pulling out her make up
"Aaliyah don't worry we have plenty of time can we talk about the amount of boys you'll be getting tonight" I said with a smirk on my face

"Laura focus we are getting you the boys tonight not me" she said while applying the make up
I just rolled my eyes well she continued to do my makeup as she thinks she can do it better than me. Not gonna lie she can though.

It was now 8:49 pm and my make up was finally finished she made me look amazing I was surprised a little and with that we were ready to go just as we went to leave her room a car started to leave her drive way as the glowing lights shon through her window.

"Argh Shawn left early now my mum has to take us" Aaliyah said touching up the last of her make up.
Maybe Shawn did have other plans and that's why he had to cancel the tutoring session tonight not because he was mad at me but what was he doing was he going out with a girl just as I was about to ask Aaliyah she grabbed my arm screaming

"we're gonna be late" while running down the stairs. And with that we were out the door making our way to the party...
