bucky looked up from reading the letters, blinking back tears. his chest felt tight. he loves me... he whispered as he ran his hand through his shaggy hair. all these years, he thought to himself, all these years i've been gone and he has loved me throughout. all this time i've been back, he's kept it a secret. something unlocked in bucky's mind and body, sending a flood of emotions crashing through him until he couldn't sit up straight. he hunched his shoulders and squeezed his eyes shut as he waited for his mind to clear. it took a few moments but when bucky slowly sat up again, only one thing prevailed in his mind. something that scared him so much but intrigued him even more:
