After leaving my job, I told myself I should set off and invest in something very precious - memories.
It was a bold move to quit a very stable job with very good healthcare benefits and all, but I found myself contained in a jar of endless tasks, traffic jams and less time for myself and family. And I told myself, this isn't the kind of life I want to live. 😌😌😌
So without figuring things out, I left, turned the pages of my life and started rewriting my story. First, I took a hiking challenge for a headstart. 😵😵😵😵😥😥😥
After 6 hours of drive from Manila, we arrived at Benguet, a province North of the capital. Gosh it was a very long drive. We had stop overs, obviously, 30 minutes was just enough to fill my empty stomach.
This mountain ranges have 3 peaks, one of them is Mount Ulap. But to get there you have to trek 6 other mountains, that's at least 6 hours of trekking if your feet can carry you fast enough. For my band, it took us 8 hrs.
God save us!!!😵😰
It was a tough climb I must say, but it's all worth the hardships. Just after sunrise you can see the rolling mountains, cold wind brushing your cheeks, the mountains gaved me a different kind of chill, well, one that takes my breath away.😅😅😅
This is the first peak, we got here after over an hour climb. Mist covered the lowlands, it was cold. There were pine trees everywhere.
Here and there..
Trees...
Trees...
A lot of trees...
🌲🌲🌲🌲
Never knew I could climbed this far, lol, my legs felt heavy and soared.
Funny, there were tracks I couldn't push myself up. It's too steep and I was so tired. My brother took my hand and he pulled me up and we were both laughing for the troubles we've gotten ourselves into. So glad I got someone to help me climb.
Ambulance!!!
I needed one!😵😵😵
There were many hikers that day, oh, by the way, this happened just a day ago. Reaching the second peak proved to be a struggle but it's where I enjoyed the most.
If you ever wonder how it feels like to sit on a hanging rock atop a mountain, it's crazy. My knees trembled as I looked down, my feet had the weirdest tingling sensation. Fear is real.
But it was worth all the risk of falling! Goodness I didn't fall a cliff. I survived the death defying photoshoot..😂😂😂Stupid me!
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Actually, I shouldn't have done that!
Lol
There's plenty to tell, check the next chapter out.
