Tears burn Kenneth's eyes as he stares at his father. "Well? What is your choice?"
"No."
"Excuse me?"
"I said no!" Kenneth snaps, hands curling into fists and wincing from the still bleeding burn. "I don't want to see you anymore, William!" The younger man starts sobbing hysterically."Kenneth. James. Afton." William's husky voice trembles with anger. "Don't you dare speak to your father that way!" Afton breathes quickly.
"You aren't my dad!" Kenneth yells, feeling a throbbing pain behind his left eye. "You're just some child murderer possessing Henry!"Instead of becoming angry, another nasty grin spreads across Henry's possessed face. "Oh, perhaps you're right. You'll only view me as a killer. It's not like I raised and took care of you for a good chunk of your life..."
Kenneth seems to flinch back at this. William laughs, the sound similar to an ugly cough. "Ooo, that really stung, didn't it?"
"Henry," Kenneth starts firmly, his voice shaking. "If you can hear me—""He can't hear you," William cuts in, drumming Henry's fingers on the pavement. "But isn't this sweet? You care for him. How pathetic."
"Quiet!" Kenneth barks, the blood smeared on his face becoming flaky as it dried. "Just shut up."William arches an eyebrow, looking faintly amused. Kenneth gets up from the black concrete of the parking lot, legs visibly shaking. "What do I do now? Henry's possessed and I'm alone...." The young man begins to pace.
"You do realize you're the only child I cared about, right?"
Kenneth stops pacing, seemingly frozen in place. "What?"
"Emily and Terrence," William starts, looking rather calm. "Neither of them really showed me affection like you did."Kenneth turns to face William, then motions with his bloody hand to the burning pizzeria that lit up the night. "Did it ever occur to you that your only family is currently burning right in front of us?"
William flickers his gaze over to the building, then back to Kenneth. "Like you haven't tried to set me on fire before."
Cue eye twitch from Kenneth. "I am this close to slapping you right now!""Go ahead," William sighs. "Henry will only feel it instead."
Instead of doing that, Kenneth collapses to the ground, burying his face in his hands."Why?" Kenneth asks shakily, his voice muffled. "Why did you adopt me? Why are you a monster? Why didn't I just die back in '83?"
The young man feels a cold hand ruffle his hair gently. "Look at me, Kenneth."
Kenneth looks up, removing his hands from his face. William faces him, not possessed Henry, the ghost of Afton."K-Kenneth...?" Henry's actual voice rasps. "Father!" Kenneth gets up and runs over to him. Henry goes into a coughing fit as Kenneth holds him up.
"Dad, let me get you to a hospital!" Kenneth cries. "Kenny..." Henry coughs, brushing away bloody hair from his eyes. "What happened to your face? Your hand..."
"Never mind that," Kenneth states."William, I'm—" the 24-year-old begins, then stops. "William?" He had vanished. Both men look around the parking lot. The distant sound of ambulance sirens come closer.

Kenneth never thought he'd be back in a hospital again. A thick layer of gauze was wrapped around his right hand. His face had also been cleaned by a really nice nurse. The young man lays in bed, listening to the T.V mounted on the stark white wall of his hospital room. A light knocking makes Kenneth jump lightly. Turning to face the doorway, Kenneth nearly cries.
