Chapter 8

I finish putting the last bit of my makeup on then back away from the mirror and grab my small black purse that matches my short black dress then walk back into my shared room to see Shawn having trouble with his tie. I laugh softly and walk to him and move his hands away and fix his tie. He smiles as I look up and smile at him. "I love you." He says softly as he gently cups my cheeks. "I love you too." I say and kiss him gently. "Mom I need help with my dress!" Andre yells from her room causing me to pull away from the kiss and giggle. "That's my cue." I say and kiss his cheek then walk to Andrea's room. She had her head through the arm hole and an arm in the neck hole and her other arm just stuck inside the dress. I couldn't help but let out a laugh. I kneed down in front of her and fixed her dress along with her hair. She smiled and said thank you then ran off to find Shawn. I smile and walk downstairs to the living room to see her in Shawn's arms and smiling. I walk to them smiling and kiss both of their cheeks. "Now I have my princess and queen." Shawn says smiling at us. We walk out to the car and I buckle Andrea in her car seat then get in the passengers seat while Shawn was already in the driver's seat. Shawn rests his hand on my thigh on the way to the restaurant. Once we arrived we sat at a table while Andrea sat in one of those highchairs next to the table. We order our food then while we were talking Shawn gets a call from Andrew. "I'll be right back I promise." He says then walks out of the restaurant to answer the call. A few minutes later he came back and sighed when he looked at me. "What's wrong?" I ask. "I have to go to the studio." He says rubbing the back of his neck. "What? We have been planning this for months Shawn cause you've always been busy at the studio." I say back trying not to yell to cause attention. "I know. Andrew is waiting for me outside." He says and grabbed his jacket hanging from the chair. "Fine. Leave." I say and take Andrea from her high chair and by the time I turn around to say something to Shawn, he was gone. I sigh and cancel our order and get in the car and leave.

*Few hours later*

I sat on my shared bed and looked down at my hands. Andrea was in bed and Shawn wasn't home to say goodnight to her. Again.

Soon I hear the front door open and close downstairs to only mean Shawn was finally home. As soon he walked into the room he looked at me and sighed and closes the door. "Y/n, I know you're mad." He says and walks closer to me. I stand up and look at him and say, "Shawn, I am beyond mad. We have been planning for a night out for months. But then you go and blow it all off to go work at the studio where you have been for months." Shawn rolls his eyes and groans and says, "y/n! You know how it is for me and my job! I need to be at the studio to write songs! To keep my fans entertained! To keep them as well my fans!" "I realize that Shawn! But you've barely been home! You've barely been a father to Andrea!" I yell back at him. Now he had this furious look on his face. "Don't you dare say that!" He yells. "I say it if I want to! You've barely been there for her! Every single night that you are gone she asks, 'Mommy where is daddy? Why isnt he home? Does he love me anymore?' I don't think you know how hard that is for me to explain to her Shawn! I don't think you know how hard that is for me to hear! Just tonight she asked me 'Mommy I want Daddy to sing me to sleep tonight like he usually does' and I told her you were unable to and she was upset! It's like you abandoned her Shawn! I bet she wakes up in the morning wondering if her dad is even gonna be there!" I yell with tears flowing down in my face.

Shawn had seemed taken back. But only then moments later he hit me.

I fell to the floor with my nose bleeding. I soon got up and looked at Shawn whom has a very apologetic look on his face. "Fine. If you want to be like that then Adrea and I are leaving." I say and start packing my stuff. "Wait." He said. I continued with packing then walked out of my room then to Andrea's room and start packing her stuff. He followed me and said, "Y/n please." I ignore him and continue packing then carefully picked up Andrea and carried her out to the car and put her in her car seat. Shawn had followed me again saying, "Y/n please listen to me." I turn to him and say, "No. I'm done listening to excuses. I love you Shawn but I will not let our daughter or myself be treated like this." I got in the car and drove away.

*Few weeks later*

I have been staying at Kaitlyn's and Ethne's house for the past three weeks. They've supported me and Andrea in every way possible. Ethne has tried to convince me to at least visit Shawn. But Kaitlyn was the exact opposite. She told me to stay as far away as possible. Which seemed impossible. No matter what Shawn always popped up in my mind. I have finally decided to at least visit Shawn. I am currently driving to his house extremely nervous. Soon I arrive and slowly walk into the house. It was a mess. There were beer bottles scattered around the place and the dishes piled up dirty, it was just a complete mess. I walk up to the bedroom nervously and slowly open the door and walk in. Shawn was sitting on the bed with a beer bottle in his hands and his face was tearstained. He looked up at me and his eyes lit up and he smiled which seems like he hadn't done for a while. "Y/n.....you're back." He said. His voice cracked and well broken.

I wanted to so bad hug him and kiss him and everything but I knew I had to stand my ground. "I-im so sorry." He croaked out with tears streaming down his face which seemed like it was the thousanth time he had done it.

He kept on repeating I'm sorry over and over again. He stopped repeating those words and looked down for a moment and played with his wedding ring that was still on his finger and said, "I never ever meant to hurt you. I never meant to hurt Andrea. I promise you I will be here more often for our kids." "Kids?" I say confused since I never told him about having another kid.

"I found your pregnancy test."
