Artwork is a source of inspiration for many a horror or paranormal tale.
Today, we present you with an iconic painting, 'The House by the Railroad', painted in 1925 by Edward Hopper.
This house was Alfred Hitchcock's muse for the Bate's house in Psycho.
The set designer of Crimson Peak also took inspiration from this painting when developing their eerie and bloody set.
Use the image as your inspiration for a 100 word drabble (exactly 100 words) featuring a haunted or disturbing house, please leave your drabble in the comments section.
Looking forward to reading your chilly prose .. or perhaps it could be oozey.
It would be great if your could come back over the coming days to read the contributions and comment on the creative efforts of our fabulous community.
