"Yo, Tae!" A booming voice called out to Taehyung who was in the locker room, changing into his football gear in preparation for the game that night. He looked up from his half tied shoe laces to find a shirtless Junhyeon approaching him.

"Yeah, what's up?" Taehyung responded, engaging in their handshake.

"After the game tonight Daeshim is having a party, ya down?" Junhyeon smirked at the silver-haired boy who was sitting on a bench in front of him.

"It's Friday though. Why would we go to a party and get wasted when we have football practice during the ungodly hours of the morning on Saturday?" Taehyung reminded his teammate of their daily practice schedule and how miserable it would be to practice with a hangover.

"Coach moved the practice, dumbass!" Junhyeon playfully thumped Taehyung's forehead. "That's why there's no reason not to go."

It was then that Taehyung remembered his plans to go to Jimin's house on Saturday for tutoring. There was no way he could show up to his tutor's house drunk or with a hangover. He wouldn't make any progress in his academics in such a state. Plus, for a reason the jock didn't seem to know, he wouldn't want Jimin to see him in such a state.

"Ugh, I have plans. Sorry," Taehyung groaned.

"You're flaking on me again? What is it this time?" Junhyeon was clearly disappointed.

Taehyung looked slightly to the left so that he wasn't looking his friend directly in the eyes. "Family crisis," he fibbed. "It's personal."

"Tae, we've been friends for eight years. I think you can tell what happened." Junhyeon shot a confused look to the boy seated before him.

Silver strands tangled in between his fingers as Taehyung ran his hand through his hair. "Fine, maybe I just don't want to go!" Upon not being able to find a believable excuse he went down another route.

"Come on dude! Why not? It's gonna be wild!" His teammate attempted to persuade him.

Taehyung resumed tying his cleats as he shook his head. "I'm just not in the mood. Go without me."

     "You suck," Junhyeon pouted.

"You swallow!" Taehyung responded with his quick, child-like humor, sticking his tongue out at his friend.

Junhyeon fought back a smile as he was still trying to be angry at the stubborn boy. "Whatever, at least I'll get head tonight unlike you."

"Ha, I'm jealous." Taehyung's clear sarcasm showed no sign of him changing his mind.

"Suit yourself," Junhyeon shrugged. Just before he exited the locker room he stopped in the door frame. "By the way, how did that job interview go?"

"Job interview?" Taehyung furrowed his brows.

"Umm, Yeah." Junhyeon squinted his eyes at the silver-haired boy. "Remember when you dashed out after football practice on Wednesday? You said it was for a job interview."

Taehyung's eyes went wide. Shit! "Oh yeah... haha... um... I didn't get it." Taehyung swore at himself for forgetting the excuse he made up to meet with Jimin for tutoring earlier that week. There was no way Junhyeon was going to believe him now.

"Are you okay? You've been acting hella weird recently," Junhyeon questioned.

"I'm fine! Don't worry about me!" Taehyung lurched to his feet, busying himself by piling his school clothes into his football locker. He could almost feel his teammates suspicious glare burning into his back.

"Yeah... see you on the field." With that, Junhyeon left the locker room, continuing to wonder what his friend was hiding.

Taehyung slammed his locker shut, rolling his eyes. The last thing he needed was to be busted by his own teammates for having to be tutored. Trying his best to clear his mind, Taehyung put his football helmet on, blocking out all that just happened only a few seconds prior.
