Only a few hours had gone by since Jimin left Taehyung's house last Friday night with swollen lips and a fluttering heart. He'd never forget that night no matter how distant the memory became, and the younger could say the same.

It was Saturday morning and Taehyung had left Jimin a text reading 'meet me at the coffee shop when you wake up'. As ominous as the invite was, Jimin had a feeling something special was going to happen, so he complied.

The walk through the cafe doors was more grand than it had ever been before, the delightful smell of coffee beans intruding his nose and the way the air conditioner pushed his hair out of his eyes, the entire energy of the shop relaxing Jimin.

That's when he saw a tall, handsome, irresistible, silver-haired boy walking towards him, stretching out his elbow for Jimin to clutch onto. Accompanied with a smile, Jimin obeyed, allowing Taehyung to escort him over to a table for two. As they settled into their seats, Taehyung gentlemanly pulling out the older's chair and pushing it back in once he was seated, sat across from him while cracking his knuckles spastically.

"Jimin, I only have one shot at this, and I really don't want to mess it up. So... here it goes." The nervous jock shifted in his chair uneasily, staring deep into Jimin's dilated pupils as if it would calm him down. He wasn't sure what he was about to say, but he was sure it would come from the heart. "Ever since the day you became my tutor, I had no idea we would ever become this close. Likewise, I had no idea how much being friends with you would change me and grow me as a person. If I were to tell the old me that I was him from the future, I wouldn't believe it for a second. But, you worked a miracle in me, and I'll never be able to thank you enough for it."

Jimin could feel his face flushing as tears already welled up in his eyes. With much difficulty, he tried his best to swallow the lump in his throat, on the edge of crumbling into a puddle of mush.

The jock continued, "After a while of knowing you and becoming more accustomed to having you as a friend, you made me question myself. You made me question myself on a spectrum of things, but the main thing being if I maybe had a teeny tiny crush on you. Clearly, I did, but at the time I wasn't so sure. I didn't know boys could like boys. Well, I knew boys could like boys, but I didn't know boys like me could like boys like you. And you taught me that they could. You taught me that I could. Just by you being yourself and getting all choked up when you talked to me and how every time I teased you, you'd blush so cutely and how when you smiled it met your eyes and by the way you sounded when I made you laugh, you made me fall in love with you without me even knowing. Now, I'm not sure what made you fall in love with a guy like me, but I know for a fact that me finding out about your little crush on me was the turning point for this all. Don't be mad, but I kind of did a little sneaking around in your stuff and... found this." Slowly, Taehyung lifted Jimin's sketchbook out of his bag, holding it up for the older to see.

Instantly, Jimin's heart sank. "What!? I didn't even know it was missing!" Frantically, the older searched around in his bag, no journal to be found. Then, he looked up at his crush, the embarrassment setting in.

"I took it when I was over at your house with my sprained ankle. You're a pretty heavy sleeper," The jock laughed, holding the book back before Jimin could snatch it out of his hands. "When I first saw all of your sketches, I fell in love. I wasn't creeped out or uncomfortable, I... felt loved. I felt loved by someone I thought I could never be loved by. Eventually, I decided to take it from you so I could do something of my own in it. Something that came from my heart and expressed my feelings for you that I was too afraid to say out loud. So... I want you to take a look." Shyly, the younger handed over the sketchbook, waiting for Jimin to grab it.

Jimin didn't know whether or not to be touched or beat Taehyung's ass for snooping around in his room and stealing his private property. Though, Jimin followed along, taking the book into his hands and opening up to the bookmarked page.

There he found, illustrated in the most child-like way possible, a sketch of a stick figure Jimin and stick figure Taehyung holding hands. Though, they had extra details so he could easily distinguish between the two and put a name to a face. Jimin then looked to the bottom of the page that had a tiny poem written out in perfect penmanship reading:

I'm no Park Jimin, so this is the best I could do
but at least I tried, like I will with you
As scared as I am, I want to take the time
to ask you if you'll finally be mine
All I want is for you to be happy
and the only way it'll work is if you let me
I think it's about time we become more than friends
so, Park Jimin, will you be my boyfriend?

As Jimin read the the last line of the poem, a tear drop fell onto the paper, creating a wet spot that spoke for his emotional state. There was no holding back the tears now. Jimin was overwhelmed with happiness as his eyes glided across his crush's beautiful words, no matter how cheesy. The meaning and thought behind the words went beyond what met the eye, and Jimin was the only person who would ever understand them to such a level.

Jimin looked up for the first time since reading the poem with the cute doodle and stared back at Taehyung through blurry eyes. The jock stared right back, only waiting a second to look at the older before turning around to reach another thing out of his bag.

He then faced Jimin again, tears of happiness and shock rolling down the older's face, and placed a coffee cup in front of him, showing the initials 'p.j.m + k.t.h' written in a heart on the container.

"Jimin, will you be my boyfriend?" The silver-haired boy asked, butterflies eating him alive with anticipation.

Jimin stared back at the younger, his beaming smile never leaving his face. "Yes! Yes! A thousand times, yes!" The older sniffled, practically squealing his answer to the big question.

That's when Taehyung's eyes lit up, his signature smile spreading across his face. Immediately, he stood up, holding his boyfriend in the sweetest hug, allowing Jimin to cry into his shoulder as he giggled with delight.

"I'm so happy," Jimin laughed through his hysteria, eventually leaning back up to face the younger.

Taehyung held Jimin's face, kissing away his tears sweetly. "I love you."

"I love you, too," Jimin breathed, moving his lips to meet his boyfriend's. For a moment, they just stood there, embracing each other, not a care in the world other than the love they had for each other. That was a day they would never forget because a moment like that would last a lifetime.
