one activity i tried out is describing a colour through poetry and describing some of the things that are that colour. if you try this out on your own, make sure you share it with me because i would love to see it!

The bright peonies and roses, scattered across the field,

The slight tint of the sky when the sun sets,

The tall slim flamingos, covered in feathers, mingling, across the vastness of the water

The sound of branches swaying rhythmically to their own beat,

Water hitting the sand with a crash, trying to go faster,

Birds chattering amongst themselves, the brave ones singing boldly, to remind the world of their existence

The slightly sweet taste, of a large round fruit called watermelon, the occasional seed and juice splashing along your face, reminding you that you are home

Strawberries and Rhubarb, stuffed into a famous family made crust. The sour and sweet taste, greeting your taste buds

The taste of slow smoked salmon, falling apart among your fork

Fluffy, fuzzy carpet, causing friction across your hands,

Smooth, soft silk, clinging to your knees,

Soft, fragile petals, crumbling in your grasp

Calming your senses, and reminding your younger self, "Don't stop. Keep going."
