Chapter 9
All that matters to me

(WARNING WILL BE SHORT)

Bethan has never been so tired but woke up feeling refreshed and headed down stairs where she heard voices. Klaus is dictating his memoirs in the study while he drinks bourbon from a tumbler. As he speaks, Cami transcribes him on a typewriter "They have all forsaken me. My siblings are as deceitful in disease just as my parents ever were. Accusing me of using my baby for my own gain, trusting others before their own blood." He dictates
Cami was tired and frustrated "Would a laptop kill you?" She asked "That typewriter was good enough for Hemingway." He told her "I see the resemblance. Booze and random acts of violence." She stated sarcastically

"Elijah and Rebekah have cut to the quick with their vicious lies about me. And all I've done is tried to win this battle of wills over Marcel's control of the Quarter in order to reclaim our home."He looks at Cami, who has stopped working "Type, please!" He demanded "What's the point? You just repeat the same thing over and over again. Rebekah's out to get you. Elijah's out to get you. Is there anyone who isn't plotting your downfall? I doubt you trust your own reflection." Cami analysed him as Bethan watched in amusement "You know, if the daggers weren't missing, I would put one in each of their hearts. Rid myself of the burden of my siblings for a couple of centuries." He mumbled "Look at you! Repeating the same destructive cycles over and over again. You are the architect of your own unhappiness!" She told.

"I don't remember asking for your advice." He snapped "Oh, really? So, of all the people in New Orleans, you choose someone with a masters in psychology to record your life story. You're over a thousand years old. Pretty damn sure you know how to type. The truth is, you compelled me to come here because you have no one else to talk to, and you want to be understood. Then, you compel me to forget everything as soon as I leave your presence because you are too scared to trust." Cami had an excellent point "I'm scared of nothing." Klaus told her. Klaus picks up a sheet of paper on the desk next to Cami and examines it. It has an elaborate circular symbol written on it "What is this?" He asked
"It's an ancient mystical plot I'm using to destroy you." Klaus looks at her, clearly frustrated, and she rolls her eyes "Relax, it's a tattoo design." She lied.

Bethan made her presence known "now that was amusing you must be Cami, I'm Bethan" she introduced her self to the blonde "Bethan as in-" The werewolf cut her off "the baby momma yes" she laughed "you seem nice and normal, what are you doing around him?" Cami asked "don't be fooled love she's a raging bitch" Klaus laughed "Klaus" the blonde scolded and Bethan laughed "no that's about right. Let me give you a tip, don't trust witches, Werewolf's have bad tempers, vampires love a leather jacket and originals walk around with a stick up their asses" she sweetly smiled "I'm starting to realise that last point" she mumbled and Bethan beamed "I like her. Who wants coffee?" She asked.

Fireworks started to go off throughout the plantation as rebekah tried to put him down and Elijah had returned home. Bethan decided to sit on the front step looking up st the sky missing her sister and brother. Outside, Klaus finds Bethan sitting on the front steps and heads toward the car "You're coming with me, little wolf." He announced "why?" Bethan lazily asked "Because, love,right now that child your carrying and you is the only thing on this earth that matters to me. Now you can fight me on this, but you will lose." He opens the door to the passenger's side of the car and waits for her to get in "As will anyone else who tries to stop you getting in this car." Bethan wasn't going to put up a fight anyway she just shrugged getting into the car.

Just a sweet little chapter because look at this...
