The freezing winter bit at my fingertips,

The frosty winds sent shivers down my spine,

The freaky nature that most dislike,

I learnt to love more that night.

I lay in bed,
wrapped up, but still cold.

I realised the only way to feel warm would be to have someone to hold...

We sat outside in the snow,

I was shaking,
Fingers and toes were cold.

It was then you learnt that even when inside in summer,

That my feet still get cold...

I told you about that atticus quote and you agreed,

That angels too need warm feet to fly.

But in that winter of 2018,

What kept my body warm was you,

But what kept your heart warm was me.
