✨Prologue✨ "Anna, what are you doing?"I ask my sister as she looks at me from under her bed.
She smiles and pulls out a picture.
"My picture of me, you, and Josh fell under my bed-and hey it's pretty comfortable under here." She says changing the subject right away.
3 years ago, our brother Josh moved down to Florida with his mom and little sister. He hasn't called us since he moved. Mom says he's busy.
"Well hurry up and put it back on your wall we need to leave in...6 minuets." I tell her as I look at myself in her mirror.
My eyes had bags under them, they were blotchy and red. Nothing some makeup couldn't fix. My usually bouncy and curly brown hair was now straight and blah.
Anna usually wore nice stuff. I wore whatever my mood was. When I'm lazy and want to be comfortable, I will wear sweats and a sweatshirt. Today I was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. Nothing much.
Today was the day that we were going to visit our father then we were going to look for a new house.
My grandparents, who were our guardians now, wanted to moves back to our old town.
"Anna, Macie! Let's go, we're gonna be late!" My grandma yells and I sigh.
"We'll be right down!" I yell back then I look back at Anna who is in a Black top and yoga pants.
"Alright let's go, Anns." I mutter.⭐️When we reach the jail, I look over at Anna and she looks sad.
"Don't worry, Anns. He loves us and you know that. We have to tell him though. So that when he gets out we may be able to live with him. This will make him get out sooner, okay?" I tell her as we walk inside.
"Okay." She reply's.
Grandma and grandpa had decided to go to Walmart and stuff while we visited our dad.
My grandma was never fond of him but my grandpa and him were good friends.
"Who are you?" One of the guards huff out.
"We're here to see Bryan Pierce. We're his daughters." I tell him and he looks over at his clip board.
"There is already someone visiting him today." The man reply's very harsh.
"Who would that be?" I question him.
"A guy named Josh Pierce." He tells me and I gasp.
"That's our brother!" I yell and Anna looks up.
"Josh? Where?" She asks looking around.
"In by dad." I reply and we run through the doors.
I look everywhere in the room for Josh or dad. Then Anna runs up to Josh and starts hugging him.
As tears run down her face, I walk up to him. We haven't had any contact with him for four years. "So, why are you here?" I ask Josh crossing my arms.
"I wanted to talk to my dad. I'm moving." He tells me and I walk up closer to him.
"So you think that because you talk to dad and tell him everything that's its ok if you don't speak to us? Because it's not. I hate you so much. Me and Anna have been trying to contact you for years. You hate us don't you?" I question him as I starts to cry.
Josh pushes Anna off of him and sighs.
"I've done a lot of wrong things and made a lot of mistakes. I didn't want you two to witness that. I love you guys..But until I get better, we can't talk or anything." He tells us and I walk back a step.
"Everyone is leaving us! Mom, dad, and you! Our grandpa and grandma are moving us to a new town so we can try and have a normal life. But it's never gonna be normal until we're all together again." I tell him and start crying.
With a deep breath, I go and hug our dad.
"I love you dad. We'll call you later." I say to him.
Then I grab Anna's arm and walk out.
Josh doesn't deserve my tears if he doesn't want to be with us.His own sisters.⭐️After we get in the car, I take my phone out of my pocket and go onto Snapchat.
I scrool through and look for "🙄Butthole🤪" He is the only one I want to talk to right now.➿"Hey"-Me
"Hey. Wyd?"-Him
"Nothing. U?"-Me
" Watching Tv. How are u?"-Him
"I'm fine, I guess.." -Me
"What's wrong?"-Him
"My brother wants Nothing to do with us..I'm moving and going to a new school."-Me
"Oh I'm sorry. What school?"-Him
"RidgeWood."-Me
"That's my school! I can show you around and stuff..would you be okay with that?"-Him
"I would love that❤️ I gotta go. We have to move stuff. 👋 ."-Me"Bye.."-Him➿-xxxxxxxx-Okay so sorry that the prologue was short but it gives you an insight on Macie and Anna's life before they moved.
