The "Mailman"

I was around 10 years old when this happened. ( Not to me but this is a true story) I was sick at home and was watching TV when I heard the doorbell ring. It was the mailman. He was carrying a huge package and being the smart kid I was I didn't open the door.

I kept on asking him where his van was and he kept saying round the corner but I knew it wasn't the right mailman because the normal one used to give me a lollipop and was never sick. He kept asking me to open the door because he was saying it would be a hassle for my parents to go and pick it up.

I told him I was going to put on my shoes to help him but really I locked the door and ran upstairs to call one of neighbours to come over. I shouted, I'm calling the neighbours to come help and at that moment he ran away and was never found again.

I wonder whether he ever tricked another child....
