(Harry leads Louis to the other side of the elevator)
Harry: "So.." (smiles) "Here's my car."
Louis: (plays along) "Wow.. it's so nice. How did you afford it?"
Harry: "Eh, ya know." (shrugs) "Stripping certainly pays the bills."
Louis: (stern) "Wait.. are you really a stripper?"
Harry: (laughs) "No. I'm kidding."
Louis: "Oh." (giggles) "I mean.. I wouldn't have judged you if you were."
Harry: "I don't think I'd have the confidence to be a stripper."
Louis: "Why?" (raises brow) "You're gorgeous."
Harry: (blushes) "Oh stop."
Louis: "No.." (eye contact) "I'm serious."
(lingering pause)
Harry: (clears throat) "Anyway.. let me open the door for you."
(Harry pretends to open passenger door for Louis)
Harry: "There you are, good sir."
Louis: "Thank you, sir."
(Louis sits on the ground, Harry follows)
Harry: (pretends to grab imaginary wheel) "Are you ready to be wined and dined?"
Louis: "I can't wait." (smiles)
(Harry makes goofy car driving noises)
Louis: (fond) "You're a dork."
Harry: "I know.."
(Louis pretends to reach for imaginary radio)
Louis: "What kind of music do you like?"
Harry: "I'm kind of an old soul."
Louis: "So you like the oldies?"
Harry: (nods) "I love oldies."
Louis: (plays along) "Well let me just find us an oldies station then."
(Louis turns imaginary dial)
Louis: "How's this?"
Harry: (holds wheel, turns toward Louis) "What song is it?"
Louis: "Wouldn't It Be Nice If We Were Older by The Beach Boys."
Harry: (fond) "This is my favorite song."
(Harry stares longingly at Louis)
Harry: "Sing it for me."
Louis: (turns) "Huh?"
Harry: "Sorry.. that was weird." (faces front)
Louis: (pauses awkwardly) "I don't know if I'm any good."
Harry: "You don't have to be good to sing.. Everyone has a voice."
Louis: "True.."
(long pause)
Louis: (casually starts singing) 🎵"Wouldn't it be nice if we were older..Then we wouldn't have to wait so long. And wouldn't it be nice to live together. In the kind of world where we belong.."🎵
(Harry's mouth gapes)
Louis: "What?" (nervous) "Is it that bad?"
Harry: "No." (scoffs) "You have such an amazing voice!"
Louis: "Really?"
Harry: "Yes! It's so sweet and sincere. I love it."
Louis: "Wow.. that's so nice." (touched) "Thank you."
Harry: "You're welcome."
(pause)
Louis: "Can you sing?"
Harry: "Yeah.." (nods) "That's kinda what I do for a living."
Louis: (shocked) "Are you serious?"
Harry: "Yeah.. I do small time gigs but I'm hoping one day I can make it big."
Louis: "Let me hear it."
Harry: (clears throat) "I'm a little nervous."
Louis: (playful) "I just sang for you! Come on.."
Harry: "Alright, alright."
(Harry prepares himself to sing)
Harry: "Wait.. What should I sing?"
Louis: "Sing.." (thinking) "The Chain by Fleetwood Mac."
Harry: "Great song.."
Louis: "I know." (anxious) "Now sing for me!"
Harry: (slowly starts singing) 🎵"And if, you don't love me now..You will never love me again.I can still hear you saying. You would never break the chain."🎵
(Harry stops, turns toward Louis)
Harry: "So.. what do you think?"
Louis: "I think.." (pauses) "You have the best voice I've ever heard."
Harry: (flattered) "Oh stop."
Louis: (touches Harry's knee) "I'm serious."
(Harry grabs Louis' hand on his knee, slowly wrapping his fingers around Louis')
Harry: "I think this imaginary date is going rather well.."
Louis: (squeezes Harry's hand) "I think so too."
