Viktor disappeared for a few days after that. He never left his room and barely ate the food that was given to him. Yuri was worried, but he couldn't take back what he said. He couldn't risk them ending up together.
Pichit disappeared for a few days too, but he came back with a new servant, one who didn't seem very good at his job.
Chris had yelled at him over this and Yuri didn't quite understand why. He guessed that it was because he was so awful at his job, but Yuuri swooned over him constantly.
"So...like...how long are your legs? Can you do the splits?"
"I can. Wanna see?"
"Maybe you should show me tonight.~"
"Oh yeah? Where do you want me to show up?"
"Outside my bedroom after dark.~"
"Nono Nonono!" Chris entered he scene, brushing them away from each other. "Not until you're eighteen."
"You're not my mom. My mom would let me do this."
"Then go back to Russia and fuck him there! I will not have children fucking in my house."
"You don't even live here!"
"Fuck you."
"Wow. Get a load of this. Young love." Pichit leaned against the wall beside where Yuri was eavesdropping, crossing his arms.
"It's strange...seeing him so loving..."
"Yeah. It works wonders. You should try it."
"Try what? Love?"
"Yeah."
"But me and Viktor..."
"Nothing bad will happen if you end up with him."
"How do you know?"
"I'm psychic."
"You are not!"
"I'm psychic. I know the future. For example, Viktor is going to jump off the balcony tonight unless you go to him."
"What?"
"No really! I'm serious!"
"That's drastic. Are you sure you're not lying."
"So you're going to risk him jumping just because you think I'm lying?"
"I...I do think you're lying. I don't believe you."
"So you want Viktor to jump?"
"Oh course I don't!"
"Do you want him to feel like garbage? Like he's worth nothing?"
"No!"
"Do you want him to be alone for the rest of his life?"
"No."
"Well he will if you don't go to him."
"I'm sure he'll find somebody else. He's beautiful and nice."
"He doesn't." Pichit said darkly. "He dies tonight."
"Don't talk like that. Please."
"Fine. But if I'm right then you would be the reason we lose him."
"What are we talking about?" Otabek appeared, covered in flour and eggs.
"What the hell happened to you?"
"Cooking."
"Looks like it." Pichit said sarcastically.
"So, how are we going to save Viktor?"
"Shhhhh!"
"Were you listening in to us?"
"He's psychic too."
"I am?"
"God damn it."
"Who is this guy anyway?"
"He's my...cousin...yeah..."
"You look nothing alike."
"We're distant cousins."
"What is he doing here?"
"Growing the word count to a reasonable number."
"Otabek, this is a private matter." Pichit held his hand up.
"Bekka.~" Yuuri was also covered in flour and eggs. "Wanna go for a walk in the garden?"
"Yeah, sure."
The two walked off, chatting happily.
"I can't believe you don't want something like that." Pichit mutters.
Yuri swallowed. "I...I actually do."
