It's been a total of almost two years now of Bailey and Kenneth being a couple

Bailey's birthday was coming up and my best friend is finally about to become a legal adult 18 years old

And as her best friend I have to do everything in my power to make it memorable but... Kenneth just took the cake

"Do you think it's a good idea to propose to her on her birthday?" Kenneth asked me

I think saying I've never seen Kenneth or Bailey this happy ever since they got back together from their short break would be an understatement

And the fact that Kenneth wants to marry her is awesome but they're so young I mean Kenneth's about to be only 20

"I mean I know she's going to say yes but don't you think you two are a little young to get married"

"Age is just a number, besides I'm not saying were going to have kids or move in with each other yet or anything but I don't see any other reason to not get married" Kenneth said

It's true marriage is just a representation of two people's love so if they love each other that much then why not, no one I know would be against it besides maybe a few of the guys saying not to get locked down too early but even then it doesn't sound like Kenneth wants to settle down too fast

"Well I was going to throw a nice birthday dinner but if you want to do something with her you can do it and I'll just do something afterwards" I said

"Thank you!" Ken said as he gave me a hug "I'll talk to you later!"

Kenny left my place and I went back to watching videos on my computer

I couldn't help but think of my own pathetic love life as I watch a couple on a video ad kiss

My doorbell rang so I went to answer it

I opened the door to see Bailey!

Funny Kenny was just here

"Hey girl! What are you doing here?!"

"It's time for plan: get Charlize a man!" Bailey shouted way too excited

I slammed the door in her face

"Char! You can't avoid the inevitable!" She yelled through the door

The one bad thing about helping Bailey get together with Kenny was that now she wants all her ot friends to get together, I swear if Josh, Tahani, Tati, Julian, Sean, Kaycee, and everyone else were all single she would try to pair them up

"I'm an independent black woman who don't need no man!" I reply back through the door

"Open the door before your neighbors get you kicked out!" She yelled back "Again!"

I opened the door as I lost my last apartment because Sean laughed way too loud at a game we were playing and it made my neighbor who worked early in the morning pissed and snitched to the landlord getting me evicted
