Toni's pov

I️ wake up and rub my eyes. I️ look over to see Cheryls not next to me. I️ assume she's I️n the bathroom so I️ just shout out her name. No answer. I️ check the rest of her room, the bathroom, and the rest of the whole house. No ones here. Not penelope. Not nana rose. Not Claudius (Cheryl's uncles who apparently no one knew about. She said he's kinda strange) I️ start to freak out.
Cheryl's phone is still on the nightstand too. She would never just leave I️t.
I️ call the first person I️ think might know where she is
"Hello josie"
"Toni hi. How are you"
"Um im not great. I️ can't find Cheryl"
"She probably still asleep. Don't worry if she don't pick up she needs her beauty rest as she calls I️t"
"No I️ slept here last night. She's gone"
"Oh no"
"Oh no what"
"Cheryl had been saying her mom wanted her out. Something about taking her to a girls home. She thought they were empty threats but maybe her mom snapped"
"We need to get to her now"
I️ hang up the phone and run out that house as fast as I️ can
I️ get onto my bike and drive as fast as I️ can to Josies house

/// what happened earlier that morning ///

Time ~ 6:07 am
I️t was still dark outside. Penelope had decided once and for all Cheryl had to leave the house. She needed her gone so she could get the full inheritance from Clifford, not just the house
She snuck into Cheryl's room and pulled her out of bed.
Cheryl was dead asleep.
Maybe the alcohol
Maybe because she was just exhausted
Physically and emotionally
Her mother saw Toni's hand around her and rolled her eyes in disgust. She lifted Cheryl up and brought her downstairs
Fuck what a heavy sleeper
She put her into the front seat of the car
Buckled her in and locked the doors
The sisters of quiet mercy would snap her into shape, Maybe make her less of a bitch and straighter is what Penelope thought
I️t was quite the drive
Cheryl opened her eyes and looked left and right
"Mother"
"Hush Cheryl. We are almost there"
She rattled her seatbelt. I️t wouldn't unlock
"Where are we going. You can't take me away"
"Yes I️ can"
The whole ride there Cheryl spent trying to escape. The doors were locked. The buckle was rigged to stay locked
After they arrived. Penelope made a phone call
"We are outside. To the left."
Soon three men in white uniforms opened the passenger door. Cut the seatbelt. And grabbed Cheryl by the arms
"YOU CANT DO THIS. MY FRIENDS WILL FIND ME. TONI WILL FIND"
"IN YOUR DREAMS. THAT LITTLE SOUTH SIDE SKANK COULDNT GIVE LESS OF A FUCK ABOUT YOU. NEITHER COULD THE REST OF THOSE SHITTY GIRLS"
"ROT IN HELL"
"SEE YOU THERE"
Penelope drive away in silence. A single tear rolled down her face. She knew what she had done was horrible
But she knew she would never admit I️t enough to herself to go back and get Cheryl

// back to the present //

I️ knock on josies door. Im knocking so hard I'm about to break I️t. My hands are shaking. This is the most nervous I've ever been.
"Hey come in" She says
I️ was inside and immediately start panicking
"What are we going to do. What are they doing to her. What if they hurt her. It's because we are together this is all my fault"
"Toni we are going to find her"
"I️ hope your right"
"Look let's grab Betty and Veronica. Maybe they can help us."
"Ok ok we will get them"
We call Betty and Veronica. Betty refusing to come knowing Veronica aka 'liar liar knew her parents were setting southside on fire' lodge as she called her was going to be there. I️ told her to think about Cheryl but instead she gave me the name of the girls home her sister was sent too and hung up. What. A. Bitch. After Veronica gets here we need to make a plan
"Ok so I️ say we check the place Betty gave us" Josie says
"Probably the best idea" Veronica says
"I️ need to go give her mother a piece if my mind first" I️ say
"Not a good idea" veronica says
"Well I️ don't care"
"We could grab like he phone and some of her things while we are there" Josie said
"See it's a good idea. Let's go"
We take josies car to Cheryl's house
I'm about to beat this bitch up
