There was another attack on Mike. The assailant had already tied up Mike and was putting him at the back of a pickup truck. I wasn't in a rush, I knew he or she won't be able to carry Mike that fast, he was a fat middle aged man. I was getting my tranquilizer because I was tired using my powers because of the crash course I was getting from Mike in engineering.
I was already aiming for the masked bandit and pulled the trigger, the assailant fell 2 seconds after the hit. I tied the person up and untied Mike. I removed the mask to see a girl, a cute and beautiful one.
She had pink lips, hazelnut hair, and a very beautiful face. Before I knew it, she escaped the rope I tied her up in and jabbed a foot length at me. Of course it melted, but she didn't realize that and was still going for the stab. I turned the barrier of for it might melt her to. As I turned it of, all that hit me was the handle, but it still hurt. I fell down backwards, instinctively I grabbed her clothes as something to hang on.
We both fell to the ground, face to face of each other. My face turned bright red at that situation, but she was still determined to kill me and kidnap Mike. She grabbed a pistol, a glock 17 to be exact. Fired at me continuously, I made as small shield in front of me as I couldn't make a full barriet for she was still on me.
When I realized she was oit of bullets, I quickly grabbbed both of her hands, making her let go of the pistol. I tied her up again, but better this time, mannier knots. I was supposed to interrogate her, but all I could do was stare. It got very awkward, then I started asking questions. First, name, Ruby Rogers, was the answer. Second, purpose, there was another long pause.
She said she wanted to learn to build a rocket to earth. She told me her life story, Ruby Rogers was high school student at the time of the Big Bang. She was at an underground bunker in a fieldtrip. The bomb killed her whole family. She has only one brother left on earth and she wants to reunite with him.
To be honest, I wasn't listening. I was distracted by hair fair skin, and brown eyes matching her hair. Mike just reviewed to me the story. He laughed at me because he knew what I was feeling at tht time. He just told me a single stern warning that I would be my moral code until I break it, " Never let love in the way of your hopes and goals". It was a simple warning carrying my future.
I knew I shouldn't fall in love with her, it's the wrong time for it, more especially the wrong time or well planet.
