place : cheongdam middle school cafeteria

y/n was sitting on a table with hana. the both of them always eat lunch together.

jisung was sitting on table not so far from y/n. he was with his friends as usual.

jisung looked back at y/n before looking at his tray of food and sighed.

"you don't like your food?" felix asked.

"shut up, felix." chan said as he slapped felix's arm.

"are you going to confess to her today?" chan asked jisung.

"jisung likes someone?" minho asked.

"i thought he was too dumb to feel anything." seungmin added.

"i like y/n." jisung said.

he was still looking down. he was playing with his fingers.

"she's over there." woojin said.

"i know. but i don't know how to say it to her. she hates me a lot."

"i think she no longer hates you." jeongin said.

"why?"

"noona keeps looking here."

jisung raised his eyebrow at jeongin before looking behind him and caught y/n staring at him.

jisung thought maybe she doesn't hate him so much after all.

after eating lunch, jisung finally had the courage to go to y/n and tell her everything.

he took a deep breath and stood up.

but the school bell rang.

the eight boys looked at him and they told them to go after her. and so he did.

he looked at the table where y/n sat but she wasn't there already. he looked at the door and saw her there standing. he immediately ran to her.

"y/n!" jisung called her name.

she turned around and her eyes widened when she saw him running towards her.

"j-jisung."

"i-i have to tell you something."

"what is it?"

jisung bit his lower lip and took a deep breath.

"i know that i have annoyed and irritated you many times already, and i'm sorry. i-i don't know how to say this but i like you so much."

y/n froze. her heart skipped a beat. her cheeks were red, so red.

jisung's knees and hands were shaking as he waited for her response.

"i like you too."

jisung smiled widely and he hugged her tightly. y/n hugged him back.

"see? i told you that he likes you, y/n!" hana yelled.

y/n had to break the hug to punch hana's hand.

jisung laughed at the two girls.

jisung held y/n's hand, intertwining it with his. the both of them walked to their room together.

well, maybe the saying 'the more you hate, the more you love' is true after all.
