Ch 30 The Morning After

CHAPTER 30

Christina's POV

I was slowly waking up, meaning I was awake but still had my eyes close. I was savoring this moment.

I was on my side, Cole's arms warming me in a loving embrace.

Yeah...

This was definitely a moment I didn't want to forget.

Oh and last night?

Everything was perfect. Really. Cole was so sweet, loving, and gentle. And you know what? I can't help it. After what happened last night, I have come to a realization. I was undeniably in love with Cole.

Yeah, that's right.

I love Cole, and I always will.

"Morning, baby girl."

A light blush came to my cheeks, and I turned my head slightly, coming face to face with Cole.

"Cole..." I paused.

Should I say it?

"Yes, baby girl?" He asked, bringing my body closer to his, putting us in the perfect cuddle position.

"I love you." I said, my heart racing.

He didn't respond, and instead, just stared at me. Instantly I turned away and buried my face in the pillows, in attempt to hide my embarrassment.

"Baby girl, turn around."

Oh god.

Why did I say that? Now everything... it's all just going to be so awkward between us. Damn it. Nice going Christina.

"Christina, turn around." Cole ordered.

In response, I didn't move an inch.

Whoosh!

Cole had flipped me over and was now straddling me, arms on either side of my head, leaving me with no escape.

"Why are you embarrassed?" He asked, his eyes searching my face.

I didn't answer, and looked away.

"Hey hey..." Cole whispered, lifting my chin so that I would look at him.

"I never want to see you embarrassed again."

I stared into his eyes, slowly calming down.

"I love you, too."

And there goes my heart again.

I sat on the counter with a smile stretched out over my face.

Cole said he loved me.

And after what happened last night, there is no way he could have been lying. I was waiting for the meeting to be over before I could finally talk to him.

"Hey there, hun."

"Julia!" I shrieked hopping off the counter

"Someone's excited today." She observes, laughing.

I giggled and hugged her.

"You know if I didn't know you better, I would think you and Cole-" She froze.

I blushed and stared at the floor.

"NO!" She gasped, shaking me slightly.

"It's true."
