Dear Mom,

orphanage shelter update

dear mom,

sorry for not talking to you,

for a few months.

i guess,

i'll just tell you what happened during those months.

throughout the first weeks of being here,

i met new people.

i became friends with many,

which surprises me.

i've seen many people leave this orphanage,

and truthfully,

each time i see somebody leave,

even if i haven't talked to them,

it's still sad to see them go.

in this orphanage mommy,

we're all family.

we stand up for each other,

we take care of each other,

we make sure each and everyone of us,

are happy,

and smiling.

when one of us leaves,

sure we're struck in the core,

and feel upset.

then time moves on,

and we realize they're in a better place.

sure,

in here there was a lot of happiness,

but you know,

you can't have a rainbow,

without some rain.

and that rain was,

angie and marcus.
