"HARRY! Harry get in here!!" Hermione shouted for what seemed like the hundredth time.

Harry finally came hurrying through the door.

"Sorry Mione, what's wrong?"

"My lipstick Harry!! It's gone!!" The girl shouted while frantically running around in her room, her hair was magically put in a neat fishtail braid that was slung casually over her shoulder. She was wearing a silver ball gown with several colored bands wrapped around her waist and chest. She was beautiful. Hermione was never the kind of girl to care about how she looked, but this was a ball and this was the only occasion for witch she had to look good. She was not going to do it half heartedly.

"Why would I know where it is?" Harry asked in obvious confusion.

"I don't know! But I have to find it!"

"Well... maybe ask someone else? Like, a girl?"

"Right, right... but who?"

"Pansy maybe?"

"Oh! But why would she have it?"

"If you asked me you can ask her now go on!"

Hermione blushed and hurried out the door, Harry shook his head and chuckled. That girl... he went back into his room to get ready. The ball was in three hours and everyone was exited. He went into his and Draco's room and after making sure the latter wasn't there, he changed into his deep green suit and tied his shoes. He then spent the next hour and a half to fix his hair, and it was not in vain. He looked amazing. He wasn't about to admit that of course, but still. The raven black mess was pulled back and, literally, not a single hair was out of place. He looked at the black mask in his hands and smiled. Tonight was going to be a good night.

Harry and Draco had decided to meet up in the great hall where the ball was held. As Harry walked in he was awestruck by the decoration. There were lights soaring in the air and garlands were hanging everywhere. Candles and lanterns lit up the room, everything bathed in yellow-orange-red light witch made it all the more autumn like. After a minute or so however, the light changed and everything was thrown in a white light, it was a lot like a club, except the music was slow and calm, and then there's of course the detail that it was not a club but a huge ball room in a magic castle...

"Pansy I honestly don't know how to thank you."

"Oh no problem Hermione. I mean, loosing your lipstick, it happens to the best of us. And I always have a spare so really, it was no problem." The girl smiled. Hermione smiled back, who knew that this simple thing would be the start of a new friendship?

Ron and Harry stood by the punch and chatted about this and that. Harry looked out over the dance floor and— wow... the blond boy was slightly taller than most people and therefore stood out quite a lot but what really made him stand out was, well... him. The silver and black made him pure contrast and his eyes were glowing like molted silver, Harry's thoughts wandered fleetingly to the color of unicorn blood... His hair seemed like silk and looked lighter than air. Never in his life had Harry seen something so beautiful. He left Ron mid sentence and walked straight towards Draco, never looking away from his breathtaking eyes. As he was right in front of him Harry took his hand and smoothly led him to the dance floor. They danced and they danced, chest to chest and no one looked twice at them. After all, only those who had spent a lot of time with them, aka their closest friends, recognized them behind the masks. Draco was tall, but still many inches shorter than Harry.

The song changed to a faster one and people started jumping around and dancing in a faster pace, so Harry and Draco did the same. After a while they both got really warm so they went to take of their blazers. Harry even went as far as to fold up his sleeves. They continued to dance and talk a bit, they joked and laughed and had an amazing time. Draco rolled up his sleeves too.

Oops

"Draco what's that?" Harry said and reached for Draco's arm, Draco tried to pull away but Harry was faster. Damn seeker reflexes. He looked at the more or less fresh scars and frowned. He looked up at Draco again to see him looking away, his silver eyes drowned in frustrated tears. Harry let go and walked to their room in a fast pace. Draco ran after him, trying to catch up.

"Harry please! Wait!"

Harry pretended not to hear a s he turned another corner and shouted the password to their room, the painting swung open and he marched into the living room. Draco finally caught up.

"Harry..." he panted "Harry please... I'm sorry..." he was crying freely now, both their masks were thrown somewhere on the way there.

"Why would you do that?!" Harry shouted.

"I panicked okay? I'm sorry!" Draco pleaded desperately.

"No! You don't get to be sorry! I thought you could talk to me about this Draco?!"

"Well I can't!" Draco yelled back, they were having a straight up shouting competition "I can't talk to you about anything!"

"Why?!"

"Because you only pity me and feel sorry for me! And for the record that scar was old!! It was weeks ago!"

"That makes it even worse! You hid it from me for that long?!"

"Of course I hid it! If this is how you react why would I tell you anything?!"

"I wouldn't have reacted like this is you had only told me sooner you idiot!"

This went on for a while until this happened...

"Draco honestly I don't know what to do! You hide shit from me even though you know I care about you I—"

"Why?! Why do you FUCKING CARE?!"

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU"
