He awoke with a start and jolted up in bed,
He tried to escape the demons in his head.
He thought If he was awake they would all go away,
But they just so happened to stay.
He tried to fight for he was in pain,
But all his struggles were in vain.
He cried out wanting someone to hear,
But no one came running asking what's wrong dear.
He was alone like he had been for years,
Crying rivers and oceans of salty tears.
