Who's the person staring back at me in the reflection on the water with those inquisitive eyes?
Who does she want to be; what are her cries?
What does she aspire to see ... what does she hide?
Are her memories plagued with horrers of her past lives?

Is she lost in her head - a world of dread, a never ending stream of thought?
What fills the vast cavern that rests apom her neck?  Are there dreams of future adventures or withered fantasies that have long since wrecked?

The trouble is, she doesn't know and feels forever lost.
Her concious is turbulent, she has no direction or cause.
What she needs she doesn't know and futily grasps for, as whisps of herself floating in the sea slowly sink to the ocean floor.

Does she know who she wants to be, what current she wants to follow?  Will she ever find her inner peace, or will her struggle for solace be the hardest pill she'll forever have to swallow?

Crashing waves pull her into the tide, where she's slammed against the shells of the surf.  In smithereens, she silently screams, how much more can I possibly  hurt?
