I'm not dead

So it's the second of April -at least over here in Western Australia and I've realised that some people in my inbox thought I had died because I'm barely on this site anymore. It's pretty much my fault- I mean, I tend to pop up and then disappear for months on end. But since I'm writing this, I can confirm that I am in fact alive and kicking.

So much as happened since...forever so imma give you guys the run down.

I finished uni! Yep, after four years, I'm fresh out of the U-Boat as I like to call it. For those who are wondering what on earth I studied, I followed my dreams (much to my mother's nightmare) and studied a double degree in Creative Writing and Professional Writing & Publishing. That took me three years. From there, I decided to go my Honours in Creative Writing (because I want to get a PhD one day!). For my Honours, I researched the public anxieties surrounding white girlhood violence. It was a darn cool topic to research. If you love books by Gillian Flynn or books in general about fucked up violent girls, I highly recommend researching girlhood violence. So I finished my degree, got to wear my graduation cape and gown, looked fly as hell and got my certificate...

And then I got a job! I'm now working as a creative writer/copywriter at a digital design agency near where I live. I'm currently a team of one in the agency's marketing department. There,  I write web content such as blogs and websites, eNewsletters and I also do social media management. It's pretty awesome and I'm having heaps of fun.

Writing wise, I still write fiction, just not as much anymore. I'm working on tweaking my Honours project into a novel because I still want to publish a book someday.

Wattpad writing wise, I'm still on the fence about publishing novels here. Over the past four years, my writing skills have become 500% better than the stuff I've published here. I just don't fancy staying up to 5am trying to get my plagiarised work off the Internet. It's also hella shitty when people pretend to be you as well.

Side note: to anyone who has ever done that, fuck you.

Graphic design wise,  I dunno. I still want to open a graphic shop on Wattpad, but I'm just gonna have to manage my time skills better, especially now I've got some freelance work on the side. Plus, I haven't done graphic design stuff on Wattpad and everything looks like it's changed so much!

It's kinda weird, I always thought I'd be avidly writing on Wattpad until the day I died, but I suppose that's life aye? It changes and morphs in ways you didn't expect

Speaking of life, what on earth is Wattpad premium?!

So! TLDR: Vicky's graduated uni. She has a job as a creative writer and she still doesn't know what to do about her Wattpad life.

But some things haven't changed? Remember my diamond sunglasses and cookie obsession? Yeah, I still got those.
