My life definitely took an unexpected turn that I never saw coming. I don't know if it's a good turn or a bad one. It's hard to tell.
Ever since that afternoon with Julia, we started seeing a lot more of each other. Although we see each other at school, we also started seeing each other after school too at her house.
I wouldn't say that we have a label, because I don't think we need to label on what we are.
We're just two people who are attracted to each other.
It has been over a week, and we have been seeing each other almost everyday. We're being pretty much extra careful, but what's the fun in that shit? Seeing each other when we're not supposed to only makes it more exciting.
Although, there are some days that she will act extremely weird and I even asked her what was wrong, but she wouldn't say anything. I don't know what it is, but I'm pretty sure it's because of what we're doing and she's only scared.
I rubbed her back as we were standing in the kitchen while she was cooking. "Are you still stressed?" I asked as I leaned against the counter to look at her.
"Stressed about what?" She sucked her thumb as she had sauce on it and looked over at me.
I tried not to let my damn mind get in my way at the moment.
"You've just been acting weird lately, so I figured you were stressed about us being together?" I asked but quickly spoke. "Not that we're together, but-"
She chuckled. "I get it, but no." She looked back at the pan on the stove. "I'm not stressed about anything."
"You sure? You've been acting weird." I said as I really wanted to know why she's been acting like that.
Acting like we were being watched.
She shook her head and had a spoon in her hand as she brought it up to my mouth. "Taste this and let me know what you think."
"You avoiding the-" She moved the spoon in my mouth in the middle of my sentence. "Julia!" I wiped my mouth and saw her laugh. "What the hell?"
She smiled at me. "Was it good?"
"Yeah, but why did you shove it in my face?" I questioned.
She shrugged and continued to cook. I watched her for a moment and couldn't help but stare at her and really see how fucking beautiful and crazy she really was.
If I wasn't so damn scared of committment, I would-
I heard my phone ring and I went to grab it off the table. The caller ID was Johnny and I didn't want to answer it, but knowing him, I didn't want him to start bitching me out.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Where the hell are you?" He asked.
I chuckled. "Why do you care?" I asked but soon caught sight of Julia watching me. I walked out of the kitchen and out the front door where she wouldn't hear.
"I'm your uncle, Dana. I care! Tell me where the hell you are!" He shouted.
I rolled my eyes. "Ok, Johnny. This is where I am." I hung up and didn't give him anymore thought as I walked back inside to Julia.
As I walked in, Julia looked over at me. "Who was that?"
"Nobody." I said as I shrugged and stood next to her. "So, when is the food suppose to be done?" I asked. I was hungry.
