A picture, a pause
A pause, so abrupt
Analyzing, scanning
retaining to memory.
It is what is in the picture that emotionally affects us
Yet pictures enough
Cannot express emotion alone.
Stories hidden behind the lens, on the lens, beside the lens
Are too big for a small picture to fit it all in
For a picture is just a fragment,
a fragment of what really is
Reality is like that.
It is the scene and we are the camera
It surrounds us, yet we cannot capture it all
Like water, it slips away.
Pictures flash in our minds, videos get stored as memories
and yet
nobody truly has the whole movie.
Life is a never-ending movie, where we only get mere snippets-
little as they may be-
They are what makes themselves so dear to us.
Although fleeting, the feelings these little imprints give
are immortal.
