Sometimes we see the world in these
rose-colored glasses.
We unknowingly place these on,
becoming all the more aware
yet all the more blinded from reality.
Before we know it
your views of the world
your perception and sense of judgement
Blur.
Distortions mask the truth
Illusions make us fall.
We unknowingly fall for these false, unrealistic
hopes and dreams
that are so far from the truth.
No one can really tell how long these will stay put
our eyes unknowingly coated with
sticky saccharine lenses
blinded by it all.
But, until the day comes
when something comes and breaks those invisible lenses...
we can only hopelessly trudge on.
