The Only Reason || Calum Hood

Chapter 10

I pour myself a cup of peppermint tea and switch the TV on.

All I can think about is, if Calum is cheating on me.

He wouldn't right? He's said he loves me a million times.

Did he mean it?

I stop my stupid thoughts and watch TV.

"Dumb ass." I mutter as Chloe Kardashion argues to her sister Kim about being so shallow and stupid.

I keep watching for about five more minutes until I get feed up and turn the TV off.

My phone then rings.

Luke

"Hello?"

"Hey, you gotta minute?"

"I'm doing nothing, so go ahead."

"Calum's missing." He says, sounding really worried.

"Why should I care Luke? He obviously doesn't care about me." I hear him sigh.

"He left a note."

"What does it say?" He clears his throat dramatically.

"Hey guys,

Don't bother looking for me.

I messed up and I don't want to be around anyone for a while.

Maybe longer. Defiantly longer.

But do me one favour and tell Aleah that I love her and that I'm sorry I messed up.

I should have told her the truth.

Oh yea, tell her the truth too, that would help.

He put a winky face next to that.

But yea...I'm sorry guys.

Cal. And he ended it with xx."

"What's the truth then?"

"He and his sister where planning something really cool for your birthday and he was scared she was gonna blurt it out."

"Dammit Calum. You guys are gonna look for him right?"

"He said not to though-"

"Luke!"

"Ok! We will, don't worry Aleah, we'll find him." I sigh and laugh.

"He's screwed."

"Hey! We think we might know where he is anyways. There's this one place in London that he loves."

"What's it called?"

"I dunno, but every time we go, he says it reminds him of you. It's a really nice park." I sigh.

"When you find him, tell him to ring me ok?"

"Sure thing Aleah, see ya."

"Bye Luke." I end the call and sigh.

I drink the last of my tea and put on Calum's mixed tape he made for me.

I start to sing along but then stop, my throat forming a lump and tears falling down my face. I pick up my phone and call the number I haven't for a while.

It rings five times until he picks up, like always.

"Hello?" He answers, sounding sly.

"Cal?" I ask and I hear a sigh.

"Yea?"

"Where are you?" I asks, another tear falling down my face.

"I messed up Aleah, I don't deserve you."

"Calum, Luke told me the truth and I forgive you."

"That doesn't change anything Aleah. I don't deserve you."

"Calum, you make me happy. The happiest I've been since-"

"The first time in forever." I giggle slightly.

"Yea. But please go back to the boys, they're really worried."

"I just need time of."

"But the tour."

"They don't need me. And it ends in three days."

"Calum, of course they need you."

"No. All the fans want is Luke."

"Calum, they love you all, but I love you the most." He sighs.

"I'll never believe that."

"Well, you should. Skype tonight?"

"Yea. We starting coming back tomorrow." He says, sounding eager.

"I can't wait to see you."

"I can't wait to hug you."

"I can't wait to kiss you."
