"Ok why didn't you tell me you were living in your car!" Normani says
It was her first time visiting me at the apartment. And it was also her first time learning about my, situation.
"I'm sorry" I say. "It didn't seem really important at the time"
"What the fuck? You were homeless and in need of somewhere to live. I think that's pretty important!" she says
"Ok I'm sorry" I laugh
"Ugh" We hear down the hall
"Oops, I think we woke sleeping beauty" I say as Lauren comes stomping towards us
"Why are you two screaming it's 4 in the morning" Lauren says as she walks into the kitchen
"Sorry, we were just talking" I say
"Yeah well maybe lets use our inside voices" She says back
Lauren was a assertive bad girl type that seemed to know everything she wanted out of life. She didn't respond well to her authority being stripped and her eyes could cut you like a knife.
"Are you serious?" Normani asks
"Yeah." Lauren says back as she reaches into the fridge and pulls out a beer
Something about her intrigued me but, I didn't know what it was yet. But I could already tell this new arrangement was going to bring on some problems.
"How about you take your drink and hop on back into whatever cave you crawled out of because I don't-"

"Mhmm" Lauren smirks as she walks back to her room
"Hey" I call out. "Why are you even up anyways? Didn't you go to bed hours ago?"
"Yeah, I did" she says as she closes her door
"Yeah I hate her." Normani says
"Give her sometime, she cant be that bad" I say
"Can't she?" She says
"Oh" Nick says surprised as he walks in through the front door. "Hey.. ladies"

"Hey" Normani says
"Hi..." Nick says awkwardly
"You already said that" I laugh
"Yeah..." he says noticeably uncomfortable
"Are you okay?" Normani asks
"Yeah.. I am it's just, you're... wow, umm" he stumbles

"Eww stop hitting on Mani and go somewhere" I laugh
"What no! I'm not.." he says then just stands there for a bit staring at us. "I mean unless you wa.... umm..."
"....Is he waiting for one of us to-" Normani whispers
"I really, really don't know..." I whisper back maintaining eye contact
"Are you gonna-" I start to say
"-Whatever Fine I was leaving anyways" he says as he walks- er runs into his room
"Thank God" I breath out
