The Move to Memory Town

Brown FedEx boxes,

Sealed with tape.

Rooms so bare to death,

And chipping paint.

Backyard without flare

And a note saying:

I'll miss you.

Love you always.

Months later, no visits,

Maybe found a better life.

Went on adventures;

No phone calls,

No letters.

Everything that once was,

Is now gone.

But, one thing stands

Memories.

Wonderful, bright memories.

Memories that light up the night

Like firecrackers.

Memories that are too special to change.

Memories are everything.
