Calum and Michael had decided to play ping pong. Unlike the other days, today, Calum was really suck. He'd only won once while Michael had beat him four times.

" What's wrong, Calum? Running out of luck?" Michael smirked. He really enjoyed looking Calum frustrated.

" Shut up," Calum said with a frown on his face. He hated losing. Among all of his friends, he was known as the athletic one. So yeah, the fact that he was beaten by a game freak really pissed him off.

He could imagine that Michael would tell Luke with his stupid and devilish triumphant smile about him beaten by Michael. Michael would never stop rubbing his winning to Calum's face for days. Calum was really sure about it.

Michael scored again and it made Calum groaned in frustration again. He put the paddle on top of the table and walked to the pool recliner behind him. He sat down and laid on his back, feeling extremely exhausted.

Michael sensed the sudden mood change of his best friend so he also put his paddle on the table and sat down at the pool recliner beside Calum.

" I heard that you went on a date with Summer yesterday. I'm guessing that it didn't go very well?" Michael said in doubt.

He was thinking that maybe Calum wasn't in his best mood because of something to do with Summer. Summer was the first girl that Michael knew that could make Calum changed his mood from time to time.

Calum groaned again. " It wasn't a date!" He exclaimed and looked at Michael with annoyed look.

" So, it's true then you spent your time together yesterday after the dance class," Michael concluded. " Did you guys fight again? It'd make me sad if you did because I swear you guys were really adorable when I saw you two danced together."

" No, we are fine," Calum said slowly in purpose to let Michael know that his sudden mood change wasn't caused by Summer.

" Please stop saying stuffs like that," Calum continued, scrunching up his nose in grimace.

" Stuffs like what?" Michael asked.

" Oh my gosh, you guys look perfect for each other. Oh gosh, you two are adorable," Calum said in a high pitch tone.

" It's fucking annoying, okay? Just stop. Summer and I are obviously not meant to be together. We already hated each other when we met for the first time," he continued.

" Hated," Michael repeated, like he was telling Calum that they don't hate each other anymore, which causing Calum to rolled his eyes. " You know the saying there's a thin fine line between love and hate, right? From what I see, there's just a sexual tension between you two. But being the stubborn you two are, you two keep denying it."

" We are not denying anything! God, Michael, I think you have to stop watching those chick flicks! They're starting to get into your head!" Calum said in aggravation.

" Denying what?" A feminine voice made Calum and Michael startled. Both of them whipped their heads to see Claire walking towards them with a magazine and a glass of fruit punch in her hands.

She sat down on the recliner near Calum and Michael, put her fruit punch on the table, laid back and opened her magazine.

" Nothing," Calum mumbled while giving Michael a pleading look to not tell Claire about their conversation.

Minutes later, when Michael and Calum finally laid on their backs on the recliner while enjoying the view of Luke and Claire's backyard, Claire's phone started to ring. She pulled out her phone from her denim short shorts pocket and quiet surprised to see Mrs. Hood's name on her screen.
