There was a song once composed
With the line
"I want to crack the door
So I can just fall out"
Imbedded between the opening piano notes
And the following chorus
And somehow
Ten words could bring me to
My bruised and battered knees
Could break down every
Facade of strength I ever displayed
It tore the veil from my eyes
And let a flood break free
Bloodshot eyes replacing the once
Tall standing dams
One line that feels like a hammer
Upon my rib cage
One lyric that rings in my ears
When everything else has stopped
And the reason why
Was simply because
I once forced my fingertips
To grasp the car door handle
And consider pulling it open
When beneath my feet
And beneath the car's stained floorboards
Laid the highway I was so desperate to be on
Flying away at eighty miles an hour
One line, ten words
Capable of my ultimate downfall
All because it reminds me
Of the worst day of my entire life

A/N: I really hope this one is ok. This one.... while written quickly, just weighs so much on my mind. Very few understand the specifics of what this is about, but I'm sure several comprehend the plot.
