Prologue
Adrianna Riddle stepped onto the platform nine and three quarters. She stopped and stared in awe of the scarlet steam engine before her.
"Nervous?" A voice chuckled from behind her. Turning slowly, she smirked at the man behind her.
Lucius Malfoy. Her escort and only friend for the past six years.
"No way." She scoffed, but even she heard the shake in her voice.
The train sounded its horn, and Adrianna's heart leaped.
"Come sit with us." Lucius offered, taking her hand and leading her into the compartment.
