"You have to pay attention more, you're not making very much progress," I say with a disappointed tone to my voice. Naruto jumps up to his feet and points a finger at me while shouting,

"I'm just getting warmed up! Just you watch, Keira-Sensei! I'm going to win this!"

He charges at me and aims a punch towards my stomach, bad move. I dodged to my right, and stuck my foot out. Naruto tripped and ended up skidding across the dirt. Ouch, that looks like it hurt. I cross my arms as he sits up and rubs his head. His face was covered with dirt, yet he still looked pretty determined. He stands up again, and I ask,

"Have you had enough yet?"

"Are you kidding me? No way!"

He confidently states,

"I'm not giving up just yet! I have to prove to you that I'm strong, and I have the guts it takes to be the Hokage one day!"

I can't help but smile, I have to admit, his cheerful attitude was contagious. I hold my hands out in front of myself and say,

"How about we make a deal? Let's call it a day, and go get some ramen. My treat, what do ya say?"

Naruto flashes me a wide smile,

"Deal!"

~

Naruto ate his ramen pretty quickly, and was now slurping down the leftover broth. He sets the bowl down, and I ask,

"What do you think of your teammates, Naruto?"

He wipes his mouth with his sleeve, then replies,

"I don't like Sasuke very much, he thinks he's better than me. But I do like Sakura, actually, I love her!"

He looks down at his hands,

"She doesn't like me that way though, she's always yelling at me and hitting me."

I put my hand on his back and reply,

"Don't lose hope on her buddy, I'm sure she'll come around eventually."

"I hope so, but she's all over Sasuke."

I pat his back in an attempt to cheer him up,

"That doesn't mean she won't come to love you one day. You should hold on to those feelings you have for Sakura, they'll make you stronger."

Psshh, get a load of this. Me, giving advice. I don't know what makes me qualified to do it, especially when I sure as hell can't take it when it's offered. Having this talk with Naruto is making me want to go tell Kakashi how I feel about him.

You know what, I'm going to do it. I'm going to go talk to him once I'm done here with Naruto.

~

I set my sandals by the door, and wander into the main room. Kakashi was seated on the couch, he was reading his Icha Icha book again. It's good he's here, it's time for me to finally get rid of that annoying weight on my chest.

I walk over and sit next to him, he glances at me, but keeps reading.

"Hey, Kakashi,"

I begin to say, he lowers his book and looks at me. Good, I've got his attention. I continue,

"I think we need to talk."
