"hey mandy. how've you been? it's been ages."
"i'm good! i've missed you so much blazey."
"i've missed you too. where's bryce?"
"he can't make it, it'll just be us".
"oh alright."
"you've changed so much. a good change. you look good."
"aha, thanks."
the two headed into the movie theater, not wanting to be late. blaze felt uncomfortable with it only being him and mandy. as the two settled into their seats with their oversized bags of popcorn, mandy rested her head on blazes shoulder. when they were in high school, she had always done this. it was never a big deal, except now blaze felt it was wrong to allow her to lay her head on him because, well, she wasn't sammi.
blaze coughed a couple of times, causing mandy to stare at him for a sudden moment.
"are you alright? i might have some cough drops in my purse."
"i'm good. just chocked on a piece of popcorn."
"silly goose."
she nuzzled her head back into his shoulder making blaze tense up. as the previews went on, blaze gently pulled away from her.
"okay, what's going on? you keep pulling away."
"i'm sorry, it's just that, i have a girlfriend and you laying on me like this doesn't sit well with me."
"oh. well you should've invited her."
"she has school."
"it's seven at night. i'm sure her classes end early."
"she goes to school in new york."
"oh. then that means she'll never find out about this."
blaze looked at her confused and right as he was about to speak, she pressed her glossed lips against his. blaze had never felt so angry. he quickly pushed her off and exited the theater.
she was not his cupcake.
