It had been a few weeks since I had been released from the hospital.I had been staying home and resting my mind and body, Alfred was also here,he refused to go to school again until I could which I greatly appreciated.It was sweet of him.He had been spending his every waking moment taking care of me and watching over me.But today was the day I was finally ready to go back to school,I had gotten up early,showered,dressed,ate,then got all my school stuff ready for the day.I was ready.Alfred on the other hand wasn't ready for me to go,"Mattie,are you sure you're well enough to go??",he's asked me that question about seven times now and everytime I give the same response,"Yes Alfie...I'm sure,I've stayed home long enough.All my wounds are healed, my mental state is fine,In ready to go back",he sighed a bit,"Fine,Fine,I won't pester you with the question anymore.",I smiled lightly, going over and gently kissing his cheek,"Thank you",he smiled before going and grabbing his stuff,coming back over and taking my hand,leading me out to the car,he made me get in first before he went to the driver's side,we both got out belts on before he drove off.It didn't take long before we were at the school again and by now my heart was racing,I was finally getting scared again.But I wouldn't let that stop me.It's time for me to go back.Happy welcome back day to me.
