we are not glass flowers
with petals that will shatter
as soon as they're met with your touch
we were born as hurricanes
we are strong and we will fight
we will no longer sit still and be pretty
we have a raging storm inside of us
begging to be let out
and history has never seen
a storm silenced
by a man who simply commands
it to stop.
