23: All heck breaks loose

I was getting ready to drop Kami off at school when my phone rang. I answered it to hear Scott's voice on the other end. I smiled.

Baby, could you drop Georgia off at school? I have to meet with some investors early for a new building.

"Sure, you can bring her by," I said to him.

Then I heard a knock at the door. I just shook my head. I walked down the stairs and answered the door to find Scott and Georgia standing there.

"You're lucky. I answered my phone," I said to Scott.

"I'm lucky to have the most amazing and beautiful girlfriend that loves me," he said.

I giggled as he leaned in and kissed me.

"See you in a few hours," he said. He kissed Georgia before walking back to his car.

I looked at Georgia, "Ready?"

"Yep."

"Kami, come on. Georgia is riding to school with us!"

"Okay, mommy!" I turned to see Kami come down the stairs and run over to us. "Hey, Georgia!"

"Hey, Kami!"

I grabbed my purse and ushered them out of the house. I gave them both a container of cereal to munch on while on the way to school. I could hear them both talking in the back about who was better, Sponge Bob or Patrick. I thought it was cute.

We pulled up to the school, and I got out, then got them out. Tara was outside greeting the kids as she talked to Kara. I took both their hands and walked with them to the school.

Just as I said hello, I got tackled. What the hell?

"Get your hands off my kid, you whore!" I heard someone yell: Vicky.

She proceeded to attack me as I tried to defend myself. Tara and Kara ran over to try and break it up, but they got caught in the mix of things.

As they tried to get Victoria off of me while she pulled at my hair and scratched the living daylights out of me, Kami grabbed my phone from my purse and proceeded not only to call Ben but Scott as well, putting them on three-way.

Kami? What's going on, sweetheart?

"Daddy, Mommy is wrestling with some crazy lady."

Who Kami?

"I don't know. What's a whore daddy?"

Kami, do not hang up the phone. Your daddy and I will be there.

"Mister Scott, Mommy just punched the crazy lady in the nose."

Kami, stay on the phone. We are on our way.

"Daddy, what is a bitch?"

Kami, that's a terrible word. Where did you hear that?

"From Miss Kara, she and Miss Tara are yelling at the crazy woman and trying to get her to let go of mommy's hair."

We're on our way, sweetheart.

"Daddy, the policemen are here. Are they going to arrest Mommy?"

No baby, Ben reassured her.

"Are they going to arrest me? Daddy, I don't want to go to jail. I swear I didn't mean to steal a cookie. I promise never to do it again," she said as she started to cry.

Kami, it's okay. No one is going to take you away for taking a cookie.

"You promise, Mister Scott?" She sniffled.
