Weekend Vibes

The week passed so fast and I'm a true believer that time waits for no one. To say Linda was pissed at the incidence is an understatement, she had called the cops on them and they're currently watching them at the hospital they were admitted and would be arrested at their discharge, I didn't tell a lot of people about it because I trust only a few

"Ohh ohh o! Which kin wahala be this na? How can there no be water in this hostel?" Sarah nagged "There's water at the tap downstairs, let's go and fetch" Amanda suggested "Me I don't like fetching water o, it's very stressing" she whined "Enle ó, awon omo senator ( Well done o, senator's child), don't worry ehn the water would come up to you, abeg let's go" Khadijah said and we laughed, hissing Sarah picked her bucket

"See queue abeg! Maybe we'd sleep here" Amanda said as we tried counting the countless bucket "Please what is happening here?" A random girl asked and we all looked at each other "We came to withdraw money" Sarah said smiling and we laughed
"I was only asking" she said walking away "Which kin mumu question be that?" Sarah asked "Na you even get time answer her" Khadijah said

A girl came from nowhere and pushed the bucket that was under the tap and fixed hers which resulted to quarrel, they kept pushing each other's bucket away to the extend they broke their buckets and started fighting, everybody's main focus was on the fight and so we chanced them and fetched water

Some girls were bathing downstairs, I tried complaining about such shameless behaviour but my roommates laughed saying I haven't seen anything yet, the only solution is to look away and mind one's business which I effortlessly did. I saw Linda sitting at the balcony and I waved at her but she ignored, I then walked up to her

"Babe this one that your face is looking like someone who they stole money from, hope everything is alright?" I asked "How won't I look like that when my boyfriend forgot my birthday" she said bitterly, Linda has a boyfriend? Wait I'm forgetting the part she mentioned birthday and of course I have to react to one

"It's your birthday?" I asked bewildered, she nodded "Oh my God! What a bad friend I am! I'm so sorry, happy birthday!" I exclaimed "Thank you very much, I know you had forgotten" she said with a smile "Ehn did I just hear birthday?" Sarah asked and I nodded "It's Linda's birthday" she screamed and everyone brought a bucket, me and Linda had no idea what was happening until everyone started emptying their bucket on her

They all chanted happy birthday before wetting her, Linda only screamed, I took pictures of her and laughed. Linda was dripping by the time they had finish and was having a cold, we went upstairs and she headed to her room, I heard Linda screamed and we all went to check on her
"What is it?" I asked curiously "Look what my baby did" she said blushing and I saw tons of gifts, flowers and four cakes, we all awwned and took pictures

"Guess what?" She asked "What?" I asked "He is throwing me a birthday party" she said excitedly "That is lovely" I said genuinely "What are you wearing?" She asked looking through her wardrobe "I'm not going" I said and they all looked at me astonished
"What?" I asked with a shrug "I don't attend parties" I said for God knows how many times and they rolled their eyes

"What?" I asked sipping my almost empty bottle of Chapman "You'd never change" Amanda scoffed. They all dressed up and left for the party, the weather is extremely hot and there's no light, I changed to my shorts and tank top and continued studying the book you wouldn't believe I never opened since that day. Sarah arrived earlier than the time they were supposed to return

"What's up!" I said to the angry Sarah whose face was already turning red
"All those dirty boys kept grinding on me with their smelly bodies" she ranged "I thought you expected that since you were going to the club" I replied mockingly "You need to had perceive the stench in there, their body odour is something else" she said and I laughed and she mouthed 'Whatever' rolling her eyes , she paused for a bit and stared at me

"What?" I asked "I've never seen you dressed like this, you should see your figure, you're endowed" she said "Uhm, thank you?" I said, not sure if it was a statement or compliment, I heard fits of laughter and I know the rest were here
"Look what my baby got me" she hiccupped showing me her iPhone X

"Haaa! iPhone things" Sarah exclaimed "iPhone X legbede" they all chorused and did the shaku shaku dance "God! Linda you smell like alcohol" I said wiggling my nose "I told her not to" Khadijah shrugged "Abeg let her be it's her birthday, oya turn up" Sarah yelled

"Haven't you guys turned up already at the club?" I said lazily "Ehn, we've heard, holy Mary" Amanda said "Holy Maryam you mean to say?" I said dancing my eyebrows and she scoffed
"Linda please ehn dash me your formal phone" I said scratching my neck "See this one o, something that I've booked tey tey" Sarah said snapping her fingers over her head

"Linda who is your friend?" I asked her "We're all her friends" Sarah said "Please o, who do you know first amongst all of us?" I asked "Question! It doesn't matter who knows her first but rather who knows her well" Sarah replied "If not for me would you had know her?" I asked, Linda laughed at our silliness

"These girls have problem" Amanda said shaking her head and the argument went on
