My Guardian Angel is Death

Prologue

The mother screams in pain..

"Push harder,miss. The baby is coming out!", one of the nurse shout

"Arrgg!!!", she screams in agony

The husband was outside, standing anxiously waiting for his wife. Hoping for the happy family that they wanted for so long. But that wouldn't happen..

I am Death the grim reaper, the entity who take souls for itself.

An entity who don't know mercy..

An entity who don't know Love..

In the emergency room where the mother is giving birth, the child's head begin to appear

"I guess, I should make my move now", I said

As I walk slowly to the mother, she was frightened to see me, other people didn't notice me as they were not my victims. Only people who's about to die can see me, I touched her forehead and the child's head.

Beep beep

The beep of the life support begins alerting rapidly. Time had slowed down. . .

"Do you have any last words?", I asked the dying woman softly

"Y-yes..", she said with tears flowing from her eyes, stuttering as her final breath is coming to an end

"P-Please let the child live.. it didn't had the chance to experience life", she cried

"I beg your apology, I can't do that. He was destined to die", I reply

She cried in agony knowing that her child won't be saved

"So it was a boy all along, looks like I lost the bet", she chuckled with her still sad face, "I can't even see him here", she added with a sad tone

"Why are you crying?", I ask," you haven't met him before?"

She looked at me with a warm smile and said with her happiest tone of voice she could possibly can

"Because that's what you call a mother's love, even though I haven't met him, I still love him to the fullest. I bear him in my womb for nine month, all of part of my body is aching because of him but that doesn't mean I hate him", she explain

"I want him to live"

"I want to play with him when he's still a little kid"

"I want to see him to grow up with my own eyes"

"I want to see him marrying with the women he loves"

"I want to see him have childrens"

"And mostly I want to see him happy... but I guess that won't happen", she said trying to contain her sadness

"Bye bye world"

"Bye bye my beloved, may you be happy with another woman", she let her tears dropped

"I a-am ready", she stutters

I slowly place my hands to both her and her baby souls, I almost extract it but I got interrupt by a scream

"WAIT!"

I looked to the source of the voice, it was the entity who was incharged to give souls to vessels, it was Life..
