Pardon me for releasing a spoiler so soon. Just needed it written here for my own reference and for my partners in this.
Ever wondered where Dominum Emerged from? where does it come from? Well ... It came from nowhere other than:
Earth.
Now before I say in my best car salesman voice "You heard it right! No other place than earth!", you must know that Dominum existed millenia ago. quite near the time dinosaurs started existing. there used to be a race of humanoid people who had extreme powers that came from the same substance called dominum in the modern world. they had factions all over the world.
Tribal as they may be, most of these civilizations were very advanced in technology and architecture. The events as they may be. at the end of their civilization the power of dominum got corrupted, causing a mass destruction event with the apocalypse, killing everyone in it's path. The leader of the civilization along with his trusted companions sealed away all the things containing dominum and compressed it to form a monolith. and sent it into space along with themselves.
The corruption ended up consuming itself and imploded to make the world as it is now.
