Ophelia Reed knew a lot about unfairness. the things happening to people around her were merely a karma that didn't find her in time.

I. BACKGROUND. (as i saw the light.)
GROWING UP IN THE CANARYVILLE NEIGHBOURHOOD, OPHELIA REED HAD SEEN IT ALL. People dead in her backyard, bullet holes in her grandfather's car, neighbour's dog turning up dead on the sidewalk. Canaryville was just a sight to see. Her grandmother always said that people who stay here have two choices - either they become criminals or they become those who hunt criminals.
That saying kind of worked out for O. She made it all the way to the forensic analytic for Chicago police. Now, at 26, she worked for police for 4 whole years, two of those in the Gang Unit. Hard work, not enough recognition and too much sexism. What was supposed to be her dream quickly became her worse nightmare. But thanks to Hank Voight, her future may not be lost yet.

II. SYNOPSIS. (only time can help now.)
OPHELIA REED WAS MANY THINGS. Loyal friend, hard worker, true lover - but most importantly - lost soul who was in dire need of saving. The things she saw, things she did, people she lost - it all took toll on her. Though she knew only person who could help her was herself, Jay Halstead might be the perfect distraction.

THE THING WAS, battle she was fighting was far greater than anyone expected. True information that came to surface about her decisions, her family and past were far worse than the version she told everyone. The girl was hiding a lot, and she was dealing with it on her own.
