Chapter 14

Naruto's p.o.v.

Gaara handed me a bottle of lemonade and suggested that we put the bowl in between us. I agreed and did as wished. We sat there for almost an hour, watching some comedy show, as Gaara suddenly shifted in his place and leaned his head on my shoulder. This little action caused me to blush furiously and my heart started beating like crazy. I tried to relax and enjoy the moment, so I leaned my head on his gently. I wasn't sure why I was doing it but it felt strangely right.

<<Your hair is so soft>> Gaara mumbled satisfied, making me blush even more. <<Hehe, thanks. Yours is pretty soft too.>> I snuggled my face deeper in his hair, smelling his wonderful scent. <<This... is kinda comfortable..>> Gaara said, sounding calm and happy. <<Yeah, I like it too.>> I played with his hair gently while watching TV. <<Me too.. Uhm..N-Naruto?>> He sounded nervous now, causing me to take my head off of his. He then looked at me.

<<Yeah?>> Gaara looked flustered all of a sudden. <<C-Can we maybe...c-cuddle a bit?>> I was taken aback at the sudden request but deep down I really wanted to. I looked at him, blushing even more, but so did he. <<S-Sure...I'd like to..>> Gaara looked surprised at first, but his expression soon turned into happiness. <<Alright..>>

He then put his arms around me to pull me down with him, causing me to let out a surprised noise. I was now lying with my head on his chest. I tried to reposition myself a bit to get more comfortable. It was a bit awkward at first because I knew that he could feel my heartbeat by now but this feeling soon faded. After some time he started stroking my hair and playing with it a bit, causing me to relax.

Some time passed until he said something again. <<Hey, Naruto?>>
<<Yeah?>> I said curiously.
<<A-Are you comfortable doing this with me? I don't want to force you...>>
He sounded a bit worried so I tried to answer quickly. <<You're not forcing me. I really like it, don't worry..>>
<<Okay.. Naruto, I really like you... I don't know why but my feelings for you are different than what I feel for others. I'm a bit confused to be honest. Normally, I don't like cuddling, but with you it feels good..>>

Hearing his words made my heart jump. This was the cutest thing I've ever heard. I cuddled into his chest even more. <<I-I feel so too, I think. I'm a bit confused myself but we'll find it out eventually, right?>>
<<Yeah, I think so.. For now I just want to hold you and never let go. It feels good.>> He hugged me and pressed our bodies together, but it felt nice. His scent was filling up my nose and his muscular arms were around my waist.

I was eventually getting drowsy and at some point during cuddling and watching TV, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
