The Prince and the Palm tree (Ling x Envy)

Chapter 8

Envy POV

After I calmed down from my breakdown Ling offered to make me breakfast, and didn't take no for an answer.

He made me a nice pancake meal.

"Thanks Ling", I said and started eating.
Of course he made a whole stack for himself too.

I smiled as we ate.

I was so happy to have such a great friend. Although, I wish it could be more then that.

He was so handsome and sweet. But I figured he was probably straight.
There's no way he'd like a freak like me, at least in that way.

Then Ling spoke up. "Hey Envy, can I ask for some advice?", he asked.

This was new. No one ever asked my opinion for stuff like that.

"Uh sure...I'll do the best I can", I replied.

"Well, there's this person I know, said person is very special to me. And well um....I have feelings for them", he explained.

I froze. "D-Do you mean romantic feelings?", I asked. Ling nodded.

I wanted to cry again.
My boy I liked had a crush on someone else. Ling spoke again.

"I was wondering how I may be able to tell them how I feel. Any ideas?", he asked.

I choked back my tears and smiled a little.

I had to be supportive for my friend. "W-Well, I'd suggest doing it in a way that's special and unexpected. Something m-memorable. I don't know, I guess it's mostly up to you. B-But you gotta go for it"

Ling nodded in approval. "Okay, easy enough", he said.

I looked down and zoned out, trying desperately not to cry. I didn't even seen Ling walk up to me.

I suddenly feel a pair of lips on mine. I see Ling....kissing me?!

Stunned I wasn't sure what to do. After a minute he pulled away and smiled.
"Envy, will you go out with me?", he asked with a smile.

I smiled big as tears of joy came down my cheeks.

"YES!!! Yes Ling yes!!", I cried out.

Ling smiled and kissed me again. This time I kissed back. I haven't smiled so big in such a long time.

Once we pulled away Ling wiped my tears and kissed my cheek.

"I love you Ling", I said.

"I love you too Envy", he replied.

We spent the rest of the day hanging out. We watched movies, cuddled on the couch, and Ling made me lunch and dinner.

Both of which were delicious.

I haven't been this happy in a so long. Ling took a couple selfies of us together and posted them online. I loved them.

After such a great day Ling finally had to leave.

"I had a great day Envy"

"Me too. By the way, you never told me you were gay", I stated.

Ling laughed. "Yup. Well actually I'm bisexual but I knew you were gay from the moment I saw you", he said smiling.

I blushed and looked down.

Then Ling kissed my nose and I smiled.
"Have a good night. I'll see you tomorrow", he assured.

I nodded and said goodnight.

I went back up to bed and smiled big. Things were finally going my way and it made me so happy.
Maybe things will continue to get better.

But I know one thing, I'll always have Ling with me, no matter what.
