Gabby sat in the front seat of her mom's car as they were following behind a truck on their way to their new house. Gabby wasn't exactly bothered by the fact that they had to move, she was use to it by now. Her mom always had to move due to her job, but she promised Gabby that this move would more likely be permanent for them. During the car ride, Gabby was silent; she was listening to a song on her Discman while looking out the car window. Gabby's mom then looked at Gabby for a quick second then turned her attention back to the road. She tried to start a conversation with Gabby to make light of the situation.
Gloria: So um, are you still nervous about your first day of eighth grade? -Gloria would ask-
Gabby would notice her mom talking she would then take off her headphones and looking at her mom raising her eyebrow.
Gloria was repeating herself: I said are you excited for your first day in eighth grade? -Gloria cracking a smile a bit then looking at Gabby-
Gabby: I mean not really, all that's gonna happen is, is that I'm gonna be known as the freaky genius girl with no friends, People are gonna think I'm weird, and then your job is gonna make you move again in a year. And it's just gonna repeat itself. -Gabby would say Whining a bit then sigh-
Gloria: It will be different this time, I promise. Starting with no more moving - we're staying right here. - She says nodding her head and smiling-
Gabby: You said that last time in Albuquerque, but we still ended up moving.
Gloria: Look, Honey, I won't lie to you, yes, a few times it has been difficult for me to find a permanent place for us. Especially when it comes to my job, but my boss agreed to this five-year relocation. So at the least, I won't have to move until you've graduated plus your cousin Manuella goes to Degrassi, so you shouldn't feel too alone right?? - She would look at Gabby-
Gabby: I've only met her once in my life, and that was when I was seven at a family reunion and we barely even talked to one another.
Gloria: I know, but at least you will have a familiar face when you start school right?? - She would look at her daughter while still driving-
Gabby: I guess. -Gabby would say sighing-
Gloria: Look Gabby, try to make the best of it ok? -Gloria would raise her eyebrow looking at the road-
Gabby shrugs and puts her headphones back on as Gloria sighs continue driving to their new home.
Lois:''REESE, MALCOLM. WOULD YOU STOP FIGHTING BACK THERE ALREADY ?!?!?!!'' Lois had screamed turning around into the back seat of their minivan while her husband Hal was driving.
Reese: ''But it's my turn to pick the radio station'' - Reese Said shoving Malcolm-
Malcolm Would shove Reese Back: ''No you chose the station a whole Hour.''
