II: Names

Ok, so ito po na notice ko lang talaga.

Why do wattpad writers go above and beyond just to give their characters ridiculous names?

Seriously though, I just think it's getting too cliché to have ALL of your characters with unrealistic names.

Ok, I get it. It's a wonderful thing to write and craft all these stories, worlds, and personas with absolute freedom. I know you might think that giving characters overly unique names makes them more memorable but c'mon.

Stop naming them with random words that don't make any sense.

Example:

"Amixshala'a wandered through the woods alone. "

"Wala kayong magagawa! Nagmamahalan kami ni Blue Cybernetics!"

"Marinara Sauce is a simple girl with big dreams."

"I saw a faint smile cross Seratonin's face. "

"Papataying kita Cyclopentanoperhydropenanthrene!"

😂😂😂 Sorry I know na MEDYO nag-exaggerate ako dun but you get the point. Trust me seeing every single characters in every single book named like that is cringe-worthy. Pagisipan po natin ng mabuti. Bigyan po natin sila ng pangalan na hindi naman boring pero hindi naman nakakabobo.

These are ridiculous names and unless you are creating a high fantasy universe, giving it as a superhero name 😂, or your character belongs in a minority and the name somehow hints her/his cultural background, PLEASE DON'T DO THIS.

Hindi ko naman sinasabi na lahat ng tao sa book niyo pangalanan niyo ng John at Ana. What I'm trying to convey is don't overdo the names please and try to mix it up. Give some characters common names, give some characters unique names.
