"We have heard the chimes at midnight". - (King Henry IV, Part II, Act III, Scene II) W. Shakespeare

Confused, I had no idea what was happening as I woke up to Jungkook screaming. Shoving myself up, I looked over at the boy beside me, thrashing and yelling, his eyes shut. The room was dark, since it was only a little past two in the morning, but I could still see his unsettling expression. I tried shaking his arm to wake him up, but he remained unconscious, continuing to yell. "Please! No, don't hurt me!"

Climbing on top of him to hold him down, I shook him violently and repeated his name until his eyes opened finally, the chocolate orbs unfocused and confused. "It's okay, baby, I'm right here, shh..." He sat up and I pulled his torso against me, yanking him into a tight embrace, which he returned as he started to sob. By now I was shaking too, scared for him and his stability. "It's okay, baby, I'm right here..."

Eventually he ended up on top of me and cuddled against my chest, curled up in my arms as he started to calm down. Slowly, I rocked him back and forth, listening to him sniffle while he clutched his favorite bunny plushie. "Do you want to tell me what happened, love?" I asked quietly, my lips brushing across his hair. I was curious, but I still didn't want to push him since he's so sensitive. "H-hyung was trying to h-hurt m-me..." "Hyung?" "Yoongi-hyung." "What did he do to you?"

"He...h-he took me to this w-weird place... He s-said he loved me, and he w-wanted to sh-show me s-something." "What did he show you, baby?" While he spoke, I continuously ran my fingers through his auburn hair, attempting to comfort him in any way possible even though I was on the verge of crying myself. "H-he took me to a b-bed... and... he.. h-he..." He started shaking, and I tightened the arm that was around him, kissing the top of his head. "It's okay, baby, I won't let that happen in real life."

Lifting his head, he looked up at me with those big, brown doe eyes, and I melted, tears spilling over my eyes and flowing down my cheeks. "But it f-felt like real life, oppa." Shaking my head, I tried to push the thought of him getting hurt out of my head, but failed. "Did he do anything else to you, Kookie?" "He... when he w-was done, he s-s-started h-hitting me... He yelled at me. I was s-scared, Taehyungie.." "What did he say to you?" "He s-said I wasn't cooperating - I w-wasn't doing anything. He s-started talking about y-you, too, oppa. He s-said you were in the w-way."

Slowly, I began to realise what this Yoongi character wanted to do with Jungkook. My Jungkook. He was planning to take him away from me... but how? Is this not all in Kookie's head? What if Yoongi is real?

Why would you even consider that, Taehyung?

Because he might be.

What, is he a ghost or something? Coming back for your baby boy or to haunt you? Sure.

He's in love with Jungkook.

It's just his imagination.

He could be real. He might be. You never know.

It's all in his head.

I don't think it's all in his head.

Is it all in his head?
