{Naomi's POV}

first period was a drag I was tired and I didn't have any of my friends in my class. second period was okay I knew some people, and by 3rd I was about to give up it was the class I knew I was going to hate, I had all the popular girls in it and guys.

when Mr.Jefferson walked into room 231 everyone acted as of he hadn't walked in which made him very mad

"okay class settle down we are going to start off the year good" Mr.Jefferson said

"first order of business we need to get to know each other, we are going to go around the room and say our names, and favorite place in the world" Mr. Jefferson said clapping his hands at the end

Mr.Jefferson than pointed at the first popular girl

"I'm rose and my favorite place is Mexico" she said all perky

"I'm Jaime and my favorite place is my bed" she said making everyone in the room laugh

about 7 minutes went on with people saying there names and favorite place.

then it was my turn...

"my name is Naomi..uhm Naomi jones and my favorite place is my home" I said looking down

"Naomi why so?" Mr.Jefferson asked looking amazed

"It's the only place I'm accepted and I feel safe" I said still looking down trying to avoid eye contact

"next person!" Mr.Jefferson said trying to change the subject

a couple people went by and I still had my head down up until I heard the door swing open

"sorry I'm late" Matthew said standing at the door

"you are Espinosa right?" Mr.Jefferson said and Matthew gave him a nod

"better late than ever please take a seat and tell us you're name and favorite place" said Mr.Jefferson pointing towards an open seat

"my name is Matthew Espinosa and my favorite place is my room" Matthew said looking annoyed

"wow homes are very popular these days huh?" Mr.Jefferson said trying to make it sound like a joke but no one laughed

"so class is over in 15 minutes you can talk amongst you're selfs the rest of the period" Mr.Jefferson said walking towards his desk

I didn't talk to anyone in my 3rd period class so I decided to take out my journal and write and doodle in it

5 minutes later I looked up only to find the popular girls standing in front of me

"what you got there loser?" Olivia said smirking

"nothing..." I said closing my journal and about to put it in my bag when Emma one of the girls took it away from me

"oh look hear this "I could be dead in a second, everything's so fragile didn't you realise that?" hahaha this is funny no one would care if you died" Emma said making everyone around her laugh

I could feel tears forming in my eyes oh no I don't want to let everyone know that they've won once more as I was about to leave the room some spoke

"don't you guys have nothing better to do than to bother people and fuck them up? it's really low for you guys to go around and do that" Matthew said sounding really furious

I stared at Matthew in awe I couldn't believe he had stood up for me, no one had ever stood up for me not that I know.

"c'mon Naomi" he said grabbing my hand and my journal from Emma and we walked right out of room 231

i turned to take one last look at the girls who had just made fun of me and they looked as if they had just seen a ghost

HI I UPDATED ALOT TODAY BC NOW I CANT STOP WRITING BUT OMGGG MATT STOOD UP FOR NAOMI LIKE WHATT TELL ME WHO THAT WHO THAT THAT DO THAT DO THAT M-A-T-T PUT HIS NAME IN BOLDDD LOL
