"What do you want to be in the future?". Someone asked me that question. And I just fell in the deep silence because I don't know what I want to be. I don't have any specific or extraordinary talent, I don't have any interest that will become my motivation to pursue and I just don't think I'm smart enough to pursue career as a doctor, professor or teacher. So, what will I be when I am older?
I like reading, but I don't think read will buy me a food and i'm a picky reader so I can't become an editor.
I like dancing, but I'm not talented and brave enough to pursue dancing as a professional dancer.
I like writing, but wait, do I really like writing? hmm...
I like to meet other people but I don't know anything to do with that. Marketing? Sales? I'm not sure if I am able to achieve target.
I don't even really know what I like and I just answer "I just want to be like other people. You know ordinary".
having a stable monthly salary, drink coffee, eat lunch, meet a great colleagues, meeting with client, rushing with deadline and maybe if I'm lucky enough I want to meet "the one" and have an ordinary family.
truth to be told I'm jealous with someone that know what they want to be. someone that know what they want to be as an expertise, someone that realized it before its too late and someone that can take all the risk to achieve what they want.
if someone ask you what do you want to be when you are grow up, what is your answer?
Do you know what you want to be?
